Georgia State Trooper
-------------------------

A Georgia State Trooper pulled a car over on I-95 about 2 miles south
of the Georgia/South Carolina state line.

When the Trooper asked the driver why he was speeding, the driver
answered that he was a magician and a juggler and he was on his way to
Savannah to do a show that night at the Shrine Circus and didn't want to be late.

The Trooper told the driver he was fascinated by juggling, and if the driver would do a little juggling for him that he wouldn't give him a
ticket.

The driver told the Trooper that he had sent all of his equipment on
ahead and didn't have anything to juggle.

The Trooper told him that he had some flares in the trunk of his
patrol car and asked if he could juggle them. The juggler stated that he
could, so the Trooper got three flares, lit them and handed them to the
juggler.

While the man was doing his juggling act, a car pulled in behind the
patrol car.

A drunk good old boy, from S.C., got out and watched the performance
briefly, he then went over to the patrol car, opened the rear door and
got in. The Trooper observed him doing this and went over to the patrol
car, opened the door and asked the drunk what he thought he was doing.

The drunk replied, "You might as well take my ass to jail, cause
there's no way in hell I can pass that test."

I also need to get my CC(is that how you abbreviate it?) - some nice places locally that offer classes, so I will probably do one of those in January.  Should I get the gun first...

Don't know about ND but most places require a proficiency test and that is much easier with a gun you are familiar with but many instructors offer loners.  Usually have to bring or purchase ammo too, used to be 50 rounds here.  Just basic FMj range ammo.

Depends on state as to abbreviation, here I think it is CHL and in some places it is CCL but varies

Yeah, don't do the range test with a compact or subcompact which is new to you.  The loaners are typically full size and easier to shoot straight.

Not to mention the chore list, which is listed as a web link, since the badge would be the size of a dinner plate if printed to include that schitt.

Looks like a CWL in ND and there is a range proficiency test.  Also you have a class 1 and class 2 license, a little more work but you definitely want a class 1.  That allows full reciprocity so you can carry legally in all states that offer reciprocity.

Here is your range proficiency test requiremen.

Good morning fellas
Morning, Humper.
Overslept a little today, good thing my giveashit meter is low so I won't let it bother me ;)  How were those cigars last night?
Quite good, and the company was excellent, as expected.
We'll see if he has anything left in the tank tonight
The only thing he has to do today is sit on a plane, I think he'll be ok. ;)
Yeah but he's old
But Golf goes to bed at 9:00 so not a late night even for the oldies
Hey, I stayed up until almost 10 last night!

Whoa... wha'd ya smoke with 'ol AtlanticDave?
Started with a San Cris Elegancia, then a New World, finished up with a MF El Centurian.

La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Reserva vanquishes indifference with full-bodied, sophisticated power.  Handcrafted in Nicaragua, Mi Amor Reserva boasts lush Oscuro wrappers grown in San Andrés.  Decadent dark cocoas and peppery caramels are prevalent.  Meticulous blending of aged Nicaraguan tobaccos offers a supple kick with a touch of sweetness.  A cool, slow burn provides for ample rumination of flavors.  Mi Amor Reserva renders a rousing finish for discerning fans......,,

@ Fish, you buy those Lanceros?
No I didn't, have some irons in the fire on the devil and I'll see after that

EPC Oscuros?
They've been rare lately, excellent smokes

Just saw a couple 5ers earlier that end tonight. Thought you might be looking... probably at boxes though.
Both actually. Have you tried the New Wave Reserva? Really good and I don't really like connies

Yeah. That's the one I've had. Been wanting to get in on the Oscuro since it was mentioned. Think I would probably like that one more.
I just got some brand new Mi Amor Oscuro's to try, I am a big fan of Oscuro's

Would definitely try that. I usually lean towards the EE or Reserva
Reserva is what I have

Looks like the Braves have completed the fire sale yesterday. They will now have a hoard of triple A player prospects... and Freddie Freeman. Should be a lot of fun. Glad we got that new stadium coming for these guys.
It will be a close battle with the Philadelphia Sillies.

Nice!  They were all bought at the b&m?
The first 2 I bought there, the 3rd was a gift from Dave.

That musta been when he was buying them out from under Bean... when he wasn't outbidding Scott.  :P
Damn, he has been screwing Bean too?

White Whale elite status does not come cheap...
Indeed. Even Dean doesn't have it.

My schedule is to be in Somerville first.  Whatever time that equals.
Okay tough-guy
I hope to hell I can leave Lebanon by 4.
Tough getting outta Beirut at that time of day.  Fucking suicide bombers are a pain in the ass.
Especially when their asses are flying through the air after the explosion.
Hard to get out of the upholstery.  Afternoon (PFST) Raz.

Just out of curiosity, which vitola do you like know in this line?

I think the flavors are best in the WillyLee, but that's a significant smoke, so I still get the .44s for a "short smoke". Should be interesting to see what Tx has to say when the RG gets down to 38 on this one...

Do I like them, yes. Can they be loose and burn wonky making you take extra thought and care when smoking... sometimes. I typically buy more coronas and robustos, but I'll smoke most anything if it's good.  ;)

Got a bad can of the Xikar fuel.  Horked up every lighter I used it in from cheapest on up.  Switched back to Vector and it actually unhorked a couple of them.

Tex, when you read this, does it sounds like if I go through this class it will meet the requirements for a Class1 CCL in ND?

https://equip2conceal.com/northdakota/north-dakota-cwl-class-1?task=viewevent&itid=223 (https://equip2conceal.com/northdakota/north-dakota-cwl-class-1?task=viewevent&itid=223)
Sounds like it but I would verify with the state they are certified or whatever requirements there are there.   Training is 2 days here.
I believe here in Illinois it's 1 day if you have a DD form 214, otherwise it's 2 days.
Ok, I wont be doing this one so I can do a little more research.  I'll probably take the class in January and call the store in the mean time and ask if the class fulfills all of the requirements.
How far do you have to shoot in the class...?

Fire being applied to one honest man.
Lit with Merlot Heart Elixir on the side
Best Jericho Hill ever and they are all good.  Perfect burn and a lot of smoke for a Lancero, very smooth smoke.

Not sure, hopefully they test us on sideways shooting too  ;)

Gotta run boys, 3 hrs until herf time
Later Fish, going to fire up one of those Jericho Hill 12HM in a little while
Sheesh, about time 😄 I'll be awaiting a review

Just out of curiosity, which vitola do you like know in this line?

I think the flavors are best in the WillyLee, but that's a significant smoke, so I still get the .44s for a "short smoke". Should be interesting to see what Tx has to say when the RG gets down to 38 on this one...
Are you a Lancero fan?
Yes.

Do I like them, yes. Can they be loose and burn wonky making you take extra thought and care when smoking... sometimes. I typically buy more coronas and robustos, but I'll smoke most anything if it's good.  ;)
Reason I asked Holts has Tat Lancero Sampler boxed in stock free shipping and they are damn hard to find.  Thought Fish and I were the only two Lamcero fans.

Yeah. I look at those when Scott spots some. Usually have something else on the list at the time. They seem to hold at their price pretty strong as well. 10/$80 which makes them a little spendy.

Which chisel did you get? AirBender?
Sampler Chisel, quite nice looking.  CB put me on them, at Holts on Christmas special.
Got a few Airbender Chisels left from a box I got at a great price at one of The Party Source tastings.

I forgot you are my MF and V Lancero brother.  You should grab up some of those Tats at Holts, not a special session deal but damn things are very hard to find in stock.

Well, since it's still nice out, I guess I'll take off a little early and have a "banter influenced" smoke before it gets dark. Maybe a MCI mutante, aka lancero, with a vanilla snowdrift porter on the side... Ya'll have a good evening.
