Five years ago: President Barack Obama rejected claims that he had betrayed Democrats by cutting a deal with Republicans on Bush-era tax cuts and implored his party to back the compromise, arguing it could jump-start the economy. Hackers rushed to the defense of WikiLeaks, launching attacks on MasterCard, Visa, Swedish prosecutors, a Swiss bank and others who had acted against the site and its founder, Julian Assange. Late Last Night
-------------------------

Two deaf men were talking on their coffee break about being out
late the night before.

The first man signed to his friend, "My wife was asleep when I
got home, so I was able to sneak into bed, and not get into
trouble."

The second deaf man signed back, "Boy you're lucky. My wife was
wide awake, waiting for me in bed, and she started swearing at
me and giving me hell for being out so late."

The first deaf man asked, "So, what did you do?"

The second man replied, "I turned out the light."

Ole Miss renames Christmas event because it 'connoted too much Christianity'

•In an effort to create a more inclusive environment, the school renamed its annual event to “Hotty Toddy Holiday.”

•Organizers say they also changed the theme colors to red, silver, and blue to “attract a more mature audience.”

Sam, did you get my message about Bermuda?
Bermuda? Now I'm interested
Stay Calm, along with working for Atlantic Cigars Travelliin Dave maintains a marketing position with the Bermuda Board of Tourism. ;)
CNS, looks like some more understudy work for me
LOL, Bermuda is a really nice place to escape the summer heat but not exactly my idea of the place to escape the winter cold as it is pretty windy and chilly out there in the central Atlantic, water is cool year round there.
One of my favorite places, been there 4 times but you're right, summer is the best time to go. Great for a golf trip though, never below like 65 degrees during the day

Only one visit for me long ago but I would agree with you.  With that cool Atlantic breeze it is a chilly 65 though.

Edit:  Down towards the bottom there are some nice sampler deals too.  And of course there were 5 deals sold out when it started.

Good choice, one of the most popular pistols in the country.  I prefer the 23 (.40 cal) but the 19 is far more economical to shoot.  Glock makes most calibers in a small, medium and large size, for all around use the middle (19, 23, 32) are probably the best choice.  That gun can be found down around $485-510 most of the time, buy Generation 3 NOT Gen 4 which costs more.

Mostly bullshit - and FYI Cheaper Than Dirt is a terrible supplier well known for price gouging on hard to find items during Obama sales spectaculars, serous gun folks do not do business there.  Little side note, that is where the AR's used in California came from.

Markets are scary this morning,

DOW   -202

Oil is down to $36.98/barrel which is great for filling your gas tank but way to low for the world economy and if it keeps falling that could pretty soon lead to a world wide disaster.

If at some point you are interested in a purchase let me know I can put you on the best places.  There are several really good online gun stores, and by the way they are not "unregistered sales" as a certain a-hole in the white house might lead you to believe.  You pay them and they ship it to a licensed dealer of your choice in your area then you go to that dealer and complete the transaction with all the state and federal paperwork.  Unless you are Raz you can usually avoid sales tax and get free shipping or very low cost shipping.  The local dealer will charge anywhere from $20-50 for the transfer but you can shop around for the best price and can be anywhere in Florida.

Monday, Monday
So good to me
Monday morning
It was all I hoped it would be

Oh, Monday morning
Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening you would still
Be here with me

Monday, Monday
Can't trust that day
Monday, Monday
Sometimes it just turns out that way

Oh, Monday morning you gave me no warning
Of what was to be
Oh, Monday, Monday
How could you leave and not take me

Every other day
Every other day
Every other day of the week is fine (fine), yeah
But whenever Monday comes
But whenever Monday comes
You can find me crying all of the time

Monday, Monday
So good to me
Monday morning
It was all I hoped it would be

But, Monday morning
Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening you would still
Be here with me

Monday, Monday
Can't trust that day
Monday, Monday
It just turns out that way
Oh, Monday, Monday

Won't go away
Monday, Monday
It's here to stay
Oh, Monday, Monday

Meh. He would technically be correct for telling you it's a "magazine". He slapped my hand before when I paraphrased a news report... not a big deal. Not like most of those guys/gals have any frame of reference to begin with.

...you could get a clip (of the moon variety) for that revolver though.  ;)

won't mind snuggling with someone who is having a hot flash!  8)
can't be in Maine, it's in the 50's there...  Good morning Flip!

I know it's proper terminology is 'magazine', but 'clip' is easier and faster to spell. :-)

i remember back in the early 70's we used to do a lot of skeet shooting(never much liked them, they made lousy soup!), and plinking on a range with .22 and other assorted caliber.  there was an AR that broke down(dissasembled) and could be carried in it's stock. not remembering just what it was, the other guys were the non weapon challenged(Never had any guns growing up).

out once or twice a year, plus I am letting Gabrielle take the car tomorrow night, warden has to work, and I don't want to leave the party early & sober, to go pick her up from dance class at 8pm.  Well maybe you'll say: "Hey that prick Flip couldn't make it again!".

As I read that, it seems to imply that we shot at the skeet, with .22, nope it was a five shot 12 gauge Ithaca Deerslayer shotgun.  our explorer post was fond of target shooting, and card playing and once or twice a year we would go up to a hunting lodge near Oneonta, NY.

Not a bad deal at Famous:

Four Kicks Black Belt Buckle (10): $71.99

Jericho Hill 3-pack for $5 included

Code: CM20P75 for 20% off = $61.59

Still have shipping to deal with though
See if this works with that deal: DEC20P50FS.  I don't have the link for it.
Nice deal on the JH 12 Honest Men with that code - $86.39
I sure wish someone had tried one and could chime in
I would like to try one myself, damn.

Well, take one out of the damn box later and light the thing. Sheesh
I am off tomorrow and the weather looks outstanding so I might just pull one out an light it while II report on it right here.

Alcohol rule here is determined by the counties. So, if you live in a county that has alcohol but not full nudity, you just have to get over the line in one direction or another and you'll be seeing all the hidden bits. haha

picking out the ride home smoke as we speak.  looking at an AJ New World.  not 100% though, did just find a CAO that i thought I'd smoked all of.  problem is, the band is just a circle of tobacco and I can't remember what it is.  I thought it was called a new Brazil or something, but can't find any references to it.

this is only the 2nd or 3rd one I've smoked, so no real point of reference.  i can't afford them either, free makes everything better. (or at least more affordable)

True, but I do find it odd that every time there is an extremist *muslin* attack, he never wants to say radical. Then, is seemingly more worried about the safety of other muslims more than anyone else.

Not you. Obama. He likes to tell us all the stuff we're doing wrong, but with no actual solution.
Yea, kinda like the Republicans.
Democrats blame us with no solutions offered other than spend more money.
Republicans blame Democrats with not solutions other than keeping money for their buds.

True, but I do find it odd that every time there is an extremist *muslin* attack, he never wants to say radical. Then, is seemingly more worried about the safety of other muslims more than anyone else.

Golf's day off, so no fun in this today... unless you want to play devils advocate.  :-X
Well, as I'm going to meet Golf for a cigar in about half an hour, there can be plenty of fun in it!

A real Sheriff!

“I know that there are a lot of law-abiding gun owners out there and nobody who is a legal gun owner has ever wanted to harm or kill anyone,” Sheriff Kennedy said. “But I know that we do not seek to harm or kill anyone but nor are we going to allow anyone to seek us out and kill us or do harm to our families.”
“So, I strongly encourage you to help me by arming yourselves because I know that we as law enforcement do the very best we can to protect our citizens and we do a good job,” the sheriff continued.
Sheriff Kennedy added that armed citizens are essential not only to protecting their families, but to saving law enforcement lives as well.
“I know that if the tables are ever turned on me or one of my officers that I want one of my citizens or a group of my citizens coming to our aide and rescue and I don’t want you running out of bullets and I don’t want you running out of guns before you’re able to pull our bacon out of the fire.”
The sheriff also spoke directly to President Obama, reminding him of the importance of the Second Amendment and that an attempt to confiscate Americans’ firearms would “cause a revolution.”

Mid-afternoon lull...
Must be, I just took a nice walk.  73 degrees here and a beautiful day.
Sounds Good.  have anything burning?
Not yet but on the way home in about 5 minutes so will before too long.
picking out the ride home smoke as we speak.  looking at an AJ New World.  not 100% though, did just find a CAO that i thought I'd smoked all of.  problem is, the band is just a circle of tobacco and I can't remember what it is.  I thought it was called a new Brazil or something, but can't find any references to it.
CAO Amazon Basin limited release.  Cain't get 'em no more.  Got a couple left myself.

I was not crazy about it but thought some age would help, have to try another one but I would keep them for looking at and showing folks because of the most unique look.  Not a terrible smoke either but I think I paid about $7-7.50 for them on the jam.

All I am a hoarder, got some LP 9's and 2008/9 Padillias I bought on Jams too.

LOL I have spent my 2017 cigar funds in the last 2 months but so many great deals lately I am hoarding for retirement.  I also sincerely believe the proposed FDA regulations will be implemented sooner than later and totally fuk-up the cigar world.  If not I got 4 or 5 years worth of cigars when I retire.

You buy any V.s on the page today CB?

Just got a brown box, LP Undercrown Corona's and SC Revelations off the Mash
Would like to get some coronas but low on cigar funds.  Did spring for my LFD Chisel sampler from Holt's.  Good price and free shipping.  Had some other deals that were sold out.
I was always a fan of the chisels, have a few dbl ligeros buried and now you have me thinking
Usually get that chisel sampler for a a Christmas present to myself.  Adds a nice variety to the ol' humi.  Plus get to try the new release of the Coronado.
Great design, just have to pinch the tip to get it to burst
TWSS again!
