Only issue with salt, is that we don't get temps warm enough to melt-away the snow/ice, so the salt would just melt it and turn it into ice. I'm starting to see that I take after my mother. I used to spend a few hours with her every Saturday. I'd ask her what she wanted to do, and of course it was, "let's go shopping." So on one Saturday she would buy some thing, then worry all week that she bought the wrong thing or spent too much money, and we'd have to return it the following Saturday. I bought my daughter-in-law a Christmas present, and it upset me so bad that I couldn't sleep for two nights, and I finally took it back the third day and exchanged it. I tried to convince myself that the present would be ok, and let it go. I dreaded the thought of going through the exchange process. But I finally did it, and now I can start on the next present or problem... Ugh..! Getting older is really weird. But now I understand why my mother would exchange her purchases every other weekend... :)I've spent 3 days shopping for an electric blanket and at 5 of the stores I was laughted at. now I don't know what's so fucking funny about that because it does get cold here! I'm still looking locally but may end up buying online.
