King Arthur
-------------------------

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question?...What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer.

But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend!

Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.

He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden, but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur.

He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus:

What a woman really wants, she answered....is to be in charge of her own life.

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared.

And so it was, the neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen, lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.

Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day...or night?

Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous, intimate moments?

What would YOU do?

Noble Lancelot, knowing the answer the witch gave Arthur to his question, said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself.

Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now....what is the moral to this story?

The moral is....
If you don't let a woman have her own way....
Things are going to get ugly.

Judge orders temporary stop to stricter 'nipple law'

For at least a few months, nipples can legally be exposed in Springfield, MO.

A federal judge ordered a temporary injunction in the lawsuit between the City of Springfield and the local Free the Nipple group after the two sides agreed to the terms of the injunction.

The new, stricter indecent exposure ordinance, which outlawed the exposure of any part of the female breast at or below the top of the areola, is not currently enforceable.

However, a narrower indecent exposure ordinance will take its place to make the showing of "genitals, buttocks, vulva, pubic hair or pubic area for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification" illegal in the city.

Hah, bring some cigars and light up and there will be an instant team.  all intent on stopping you from smoking.  now, if THAT doesn't designate you as a leader (pulling together a disassociated group against a common cause) then you should retire soon.

We have a Team Building Retreat all day tomorrow and that is probably why I have a headache.   Dumb bastards just don't get it, we are not a team and we don't want to retreat!
Bring some cigars and have a herf...that will do wonders for the team.
But there is NO TEAM
All the more reason to attend, you need this!

Fuk'n joke of a facilitator (just someone from another office that does not know shit) sent out an email requesting everyone send her "something about themselves that nobody would know" to play a game, yeah I know the game learned it the Dale Carnegie course they shoved up our ass about 15 years ago.  I of course ignored the email and yesterday got a nastygram as to my not replying and I needed to do that before lunch today.  OK, I responded, venture to say I will get a follow-up nastygram.

So what did you submit?
That you like cigars (the kind that simple country boys like), that you collect toenail clippings, that you virtually hang out with characters named Bean, The Mayor, LTG, CG, Oy, Fishy and a bunch of Daves?  That you can't wait to escape Commieville?

Good morning Dave(s).....   And yes, I've been playing with the tv.  I've been watching a few movies.  I borrowed a Blu-ray from my son and have compared it to some of my old regular dvds.  I was surprised to see that my old dvds look pretty darn good compared to the Blu-ray dvd.  Both the tv and the Blu-ray player have upconvert.  The Blu-ray upconverts to 4k, so I guess it's doing it's job.  So far I've watched The Dar Knight Rises (Blu-ray), and regular dvds, Tombstone, The Wild Bunch, and the new Vacation.  I haven't make any adjustmest to the picture yet, just straight out of the box, and without knowing all the bells and whistles yet, I've been pretty happy.  Now, do I want to try 3D...?  I'd need glasses and a movie.  If I try 3D, I'm thinking about Titanic or Pacific Rim.  Anyway, that's on the back burner at the moment.

when I built the media room in the new finished basement, I went with 7.1 sound and ran 25 foot hdmi and component cables to the new 42in LG 1080p set.  did not think of running straight rg58 cable.  I was more concerned with the high def qualities of the set.  did run a 25 audio cable though, so I can run the tv without the stereo just from the cable box, or I can switch to HDMI inputs for either the receiver (blue-ray, cable box-hdmi, Wii) or HDMI2 Google chromecast for netflix.  movies look & sound awesome.  Wiring before putting up the flat screen.

is there a free ship code available for CI?
Seems like Ogie posted us one recently but do not have it.
That was for the Sis.  Current FS at CI is only with Jam items (probably due to the 20% promo)
Thanks Dave.  put a couple of 10 pks of uncut connies in the cart.  now have to hope for a jam.  (and something decent IN the jam)

right, but there were a bunch of $2 gurkha cigars with $20 MSRP's  also bought some 3 count boxes of Tabantilla's, which were the bulk of the cigars I gave out when the first two kids were born.  Also hadn't seen the Gurkha Archive with the Cameroon wrapper in a while, now if only the Grand Age would show up again cheap, I would be very happy.

Nice.....  My old dvd player had optical out.  So I took that wire and hooked it to the tv optical out, and now have 5.1 when watching Netflix.  My new dvd player only had coax audio, so I bought a coax audio cable and hooked that to my Onkyo surround sound.  It sounds great.  I hope the neighbors can't hear it... My wife is on vacation this week, so I'm not sure what we'll be up to.  Probably nothing.  I think she's so wore out from working nights that she just wants the break to relax.  Later Saturday night a guy asked her to do a price check on an item.  While she was doing that, he sneaks out the door and the alarm goes off.  She followed him to the parking lot, and told him to give back the items, about $26 worth of liquor.  He wouldn't stop and just kept walking across a very large parking lot.  She yelled, "bring it back or they are going to get you."  She dialed 911, as he was getting into a waiting SUV.  She gave the directions, and description of the SUV and what the guy was wearing.  The police pulled him right over, and found the liquor with the security caps still on them.  My wife asked the police if she would have to go to court, and they said, "I don't think so, this guy has some many police reports against him that this one will be the one to send him to prison.  I can't understand that.  She offered the guy the chance to just give it back and walk away, but now it looks like prison for only $26.

Right.... :)  I reconnect 2 wires and now I'm a technologies expert.  That sounds like my wife.  Years ago I bought a 35mm camera, so everyone we ran into at birthday and family parties, if they had a problem with their camera my wife would say, "Oh my husband knows all about cameras...!" And they would come to me for help...  This went on for 20 years.  I told her, "I know how to put film into my camera, stop telling people I'm a camera expert..!"  The same thing happened when I bought a 286 computer.  Can you imagine how many of her friends she forwarded to me as being a computer expert... errrr!!!!!

Probably dozens of Pee Dee Roads, they're not real original when it comes to naming conventions.  Just go to Atlanta...what road doesn't have "Peach" in the name?

And while we're at it, a little regional history lesson....
The lower part of the river is named Pee Dee (in colonial times written Pedee) after the Native American Pee Dee tribe.

The Pee Dee River was the original river for Stephen Foster's song "Old Folks at Home" (commonly known by its first line, "Way down upon the Swanee River"). Why he changed the name of the river in his final version of the song is a subject of much speculation.

And lets not forget we have the Little Pee Dee tributary as well.

I have looked at a piece of property in Georgetown County and just have to give it extra points for the Street Name which I would love to put down as my address!

Located on Old Pee Road
Seems appropriate.  Probably an association with the Pee Dee River.
Most likely is and I figured they already had a pee dee road so just shortened it up.
Probably dozens of Pee Dee Roads, they're not real original when it comes to naming conventions.  Just go to Atlanta...what road doesn't have "Peach" in the name?
MLK does not have a Peach on either end ;D
And they still call Georgia the Peach State even though SC grows more peaches, wacha gonna do?

Eat more peaches I guess.   Little known best peaches are grown in Ruston, Louisiana but the trees have oak wilt spreading in the orchards and are almost all gone.  Now they also grow peaches in Texas, Fredericksburg Peaches, people around here rave about them every year but IMHO they are not worth a crap.  Then again they have never had a Ruston, GA or SC peach.

Damn, you filling in for Raz today?
Y'all need to make up your minds.  If I complain about something, I'm whining. If I say something intelligent I get this.  And God forbid I say something in Spanish.

Hanging around here is starting to remind me of work.
The two differences here of course is 1) you are always welcome to (if not encouraged)to tell anyone who gives you shit to GFY, and 2) No one really cares, so you are more than welcome to continue with any behavior you prefer.
Esa es la verdad.
I think this is where I'm supposed to tell you to GFY.
And I think I am supposed to say Thank You May I Have Another Please.
Well done. We just need a couple of TWSSs and then we can call it a day.

I have looked at a piece of property in Georgetown County and just have to give it extra points for the Street Name which I would love to put down as my address!

Located on Old Pee Road
Seems appropriate.  Probably an association with the Pee Dee River.
