Spent most of it cringing. But that's because I'm a musician. Can't help it. The band did great, and the chick who played Rizzo steamed up the joint somethin' fierce. She was great, and easy on the eyes. The girl who played Cha-Cha too. But the rest had me cringing. But I clapped a lot and hooted and hollered. They were tryin' hard.

Made me glad I don't have daughters. I'd have had a problem watching my daughter poured into skin-tight pants working the stage like that. But she was good.

My son says she's a bitch and everybody hates her. The price of talent, I guess.

Profitable Mistake
-------------------------

On his way out of church after mass, Frank stopped at the door to speak
to the minister. "Would it be right," he asked, "for a person to profit
from the mistakes of another?"

"Absolutely not!" replied the pastor, disappointed that Frank would
even ask such a question.

"In that case," said the young man, "I wonder if you'd consider
returning the hundred dollars I paid you to marry my wife and me last
July."

72° here right now with a nice breeze and the humidity has dropped, they are calling this a cool front but we will also be in the upper 90's by this afternoon.  Grass cutting s always on my list if it's not raining and we have had just enough rain in the last week to make the grass grow like crazy still, hopefully only another month or so of this before we can start to see grass season come to an end.

I imagine with the IPCPR, the industry reassesses all orders, not just new introductions.  And lets face it, costs of everything else are going up as well, as much as we wish, cigars don't exist in a vacuum.

And good morning to you Mr. Mayor.
Don't have many plans today so finally able to take care of stuff around the house.  What are you up to?
Stuff like smoking some cigars and drinking some beers?

"Rowdy" Toddy Piper dead at 61 of apparent heart attack.
TXDave mentioned it last evening.  Only 61, wonder if he'd known he had heart issues.

I won't lie, that was my first thought but I didn't want to talk ill of the dead.

I just hauled two old crapped out chairs to the Goodwill store, nice having them around as the trash service pretty much will not take anything that will not fit in the can anymore and that Goodwill will take anything except hazardous materials.  It is also only about 10 minutes away from the house.

And you get credit for donations.

Quite the opposite, quite mild actually.  Many would call it mild to medium I guess.  I usually have a Hemingway variety for a morning smoke but decided to dare to be different today.

Well, you can't think of it as cancer.....it's cancers, each fairly different.
Cures/survival of a lot of types of cancer are dramatically different/better from just 10 years ago.

I remember years back when the kids reacted in horror watching us have a glass of wine with dinner and asking if we were drunk or alcoholics.
Stupid disinformation...and you wonder why the kids can't make intelligent decisions, or go wild when released from suppressive environments.

I sort of see that differently, all this good medicine frequently causes people to outlive their minds as happened to my mother.  She once told me "SON, it does matter how long you live it only matters how you die". That was about 20 years ago and I will never forget it.  She was absolutely correct and I

The heart attack talk always seems to kill the banter too.
Not for me. I hope to God I die of a heart attack, rather than the cancer I'm almost certainly destined for. Not bloody likely though. My heart is in terrified shape and my arteries are too.

Now this is a post that could kill the banter.

Morning, muchachos.
+1 on heart failure vs. cancer
Heart failure........cancer.....stroke.  I hate the thought of lingering on as either a vegetable or unable to move/move well...
Yeah, give me the heart attack.

Or a backpack full of dynamite and an airplane.
Problem is, with how good medicine is....there is not much left to die from.
They ain't cured cancer yet
Well, you can't think of it as cancer.....it's cancers, each fairly different.
Cures/survival of a lot of types of cancer are dramatically different/better from just 10 years ago.
Yes, but then there's the case of my mother, who was diagnosed with a kidney tumor in June of 2013 and died of lung cancer 93 days later. Never smoked a cigarette in her life, died of lung cancer.
Well most cancers when they metastasize migrate to other organs, often liver, colon and lungs.  If that is the case with your mother the correct cause is still kidney cancer even though it migrated to the lungs.
My SIL had a similar situation with uterine cancer.

Yes, cause of death was renal cancer, but it was the metastasized cancer in the lungs that killed her.

@ my dads lake house for the day, my daughters birthday and her request to come fishing and swimming. Just had a MCII PC with Sculpin
Daughter's birthday is next weekend but she's gonna be 12 and gives me shit about cigar smoking.  We're doing some father/daughter bonding today though since mom and the boys are at a birthday party.
Just tell her she's lucky that's the worst you do....there are lots of other habits.
I can't even get my wife to understand my cigar smoking.  I blame the schools too.  These days they teach that 2nd and 3rd hand smoke is worse than heroin.
Does she understand anything else about you?
What is there to understand?

I sort of see that differently, all this good medicine frequently causes people to outlive their minds as happened to my mother.  She once told me "SON, it does matter how long you live it only matters how you die". That was about 20 years ago and I will never forget it.  She was absolutely correct and I
And outliving my mind is what I absolutely do not want to do.  Nor do I want my mind to outlive the functioning of my body, as happened to my grandmother.  She died at 102, and her mind was clear as a bell until the end but the body hadn't kept up for 20 years.

But it's okay, I'll probably die on the motorcycle.  The benefits of living a risky lifestyle.

You're smarter than that.  Daddy's always right until daddy kicks husband's ass.  Then daddy is a great big evil ogre.  Never seen it fail. It's the only thing that's kept my sister's two ex-husbands alive.

Probably offered the six months 0 interest then reneged after you bought some cigars.  They did that to me once.  That's when I learned that it was Famous that caused it.  So I mostly avoid Famous now.
