100 Bricks
-------------------------

Put about 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed room with an open
window. Then send 2 or 3 candidates in the room and close the door. Leave
them alone and come back after 6 hours and then analyse the situation.

If they are counting the bricks. Put them in the accounts department.

If they are recounting them. Put them in auditing.

If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks. Put them in
engineering.

If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order. Put them in planning.

If they are throwing the bricks at each other. Put them in operations.

If they are sleeping. Put them in security.

If they have broken the bricks into pieces. Put them in information technology.

If they are sitting idle. Put them in human resources.

If they say they have tried different combinations, yet not a brick has been
moved. Put them in sales.

If they have already left for the day. Put them in marketing.

If they are staring out of the window. Put them on strategic planning.

And then last but not least.

If they are talking to each other and not a single brick has been moved,
congratulate them and put them in Executive Management.

Thank God for all the fine AMERICAN Craft Breweries we have to bring us fine beers these days!

Busch, Bud, Michelob and others - InBev of Belgium
Miller - SAB of the UK  soon to be another InBev Company for the tune of $106 Billion
Lonestar - owned by Pabst Blue Ribbon - now owned by a California Company, most commie of them all but wait a minute the Los Angeles company Pabst Brewing is acutally owned by MillerCoors which is controlled by Moson which is controlled by SAB Miller!
Coors -  taken over by Molson (Canadian Commies) several years ago and now operated as a joint venture by SAB Miller operating as MillerCoors.
Schlitz  - now owned by California Commies Pabst aka MillerCoors which is really Molson Coors which is really SAB Miller.

Basically all the major known AMERICAN Beer Names will belong to one European company.

Just imagine what the New World Order can do for us if they can fuk beer up that bad.

Judgment Day at the wardens company today, going to hand out about 350 pink slips and about that many or more job re-assignments.  Best thing is a pink slip might be the better option because of the very nice severance package other than she has been working the oil fields for 32 years and that would be a sad way to end it as she will just retire about 10 months earlier than planned.  Real bad deal for those not near retirement though because it is unlikely they will be able to find jobs, especially similar paying jobs if any at all, in that industry for a while.

OK, I will be nice and yes it is a shit day for everybody.   Crazy thing is they have a "one-on-one" meeting, with whom they don't even know yet, and everyone leaves after their meeting regardless of outcome.....  There will be a number of mid-level managers leaving or getting lower jobs.  Of course no top management will be touched.

As we speak she just got called in and is staying in her current position just switching from North Dakota projects to Texas Projects which is actually easier anyway. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Sounds like a cake walk, though still much more demanding than yesterday.

Good luck to her.  And please be nice today, TXDave.  She's gonna have a shit day no matter what the outcome.

Just for you Tony I told her I would take her out for a very nice dinner tonight. ;)
Thank you.  Sounds like it's working out for her but boy oh boy does it suck to be walking around in that office today.  I can completely sympathize.
She is packing up to go home for the day with pay to avoid that sucking situation.
Glad to hear it worked out for her.
Thanks, if it had been 3-9 months later she would have voluntarily jumped on the "package" they call it but this is for the better for now we think.  If oil prices do not come up soon there will likely be another round of cuts in the 2nd quarter of next year.

Must be National La Palina Daily Special Day, Sister Email and Cigar King both La Palina's today.  As usual Cigar King deal is a joke.
So who would like to share their opinion on the La Palina.  In particular the sis offering.  10 La Palina El Diario Kill Bill (4.25"x40 corona size) just $49.99 plus free shipping...OR... 10 La Palina Black Label (6"x50 toro size) just $49.99 plus free shipping!

Is this a soft hearted statement regarding about 200 people you just put out of a job with "you" making a salary in the $8 million range:

His complete statement:

"On October the 13th we informed our employees in our U.S. upstream business and some key interfacing organizations of their status.  Regrettably, this has meant that we have had to say goodbye to many good people."

Probably a good idea on the waiting for fly-boy to land and chime in as I really don't know crap about them other than the Cigar King price was double the Sis.  I was referring to the Sis letter deal from Tim Blythe as maybe trying.

Cigar Kings are "Mr Sam" versions and a corona is $93.50/10 and Toro is $114.75/10.  You get a free 3-pak of La Palina Family Series Miami Pasha (Churchill) with the purchase of a 10-pak.

Old DAWG must have an erection lasting over 4 days!
I wish!
been extremely busy but doing okay.
good afternoon all. BrickHouse Maduro toro and coffee here. got a few hours to sit still and relax.
Afternoon Dean, glad you are doing ok!  Sit down and stay a while!
ha, fell asleep outside with a cigar burning. no harm done.
Damn Dean, that is dangerous but I did it myself a few weeks ago sitting outside enjoying a smoke and fell dead ass asleep in the recliner.
Three words - flame retardant upholstery.  Or flame retardant BVD's.
Better would be flame retardant hair!
Any hair would be great.  Just sayin'...

Of course!  Just got the following:

Subject:NJ Transit Alerts
PVL train #1641 from Essex St. is delayed due to motor vehicle stuck on tracks. Update to follow.

So WTF does that mean to me?  Dunno, but that is my train line.

Maybe not.  So far I'm on the train and two stops away.  Maybe that last message only affected trains going in the opposite direction.

One more stop and they're not mentioning any issues.  Who knows, maybe that text was from earlier today and my provider sucks more than I already thought?

I doubt the southern NJ folk will venture up to northern NJ, but we'll see.  So far it's just Charlie and me.  This Jamie's place is kinda pricey but the food is real good and you can smoke right at your table.  I think Flip was the one to turn me on to it.
