2.6" of badly needed rain for my area since midnight!
That's a lot of rain in such short time.

While great deals are not a real regular offering at Holts I must give them credit for the occasional high quality great deals and when they have great offers the don't seem to ever run out of them before the scheduled time to end.  Good service also.

Nice start to my day went outside and the pool had turned green after so much rain (not a real big deal, easy and quick fix) so turned on the pump and put some shock treatment in  which will clear it back up in about 30 minutes or less.  BUT before I even got back into the house BOOM the Fuk'n pump literally blows up.

Pool ownership is a real joy.
Everyone should be required to own one in their life.
Never had a pool or a boat, and I'm just fine with that.
Had both and the pool is a much bigger headache.
Two BIG problems with pools:  The builders are a low form of life close to politicians and the equipment is all made in Asia by low bidders then branded at it is all junk.
Pool is 7 years old this month and on the 3rd pool sweep booster pump and this will be the 4th main pump.  Just ordered a new pool sweep this week and this will make 3 of those.

Looked that way for sure but turning green after a huge rainfall is not a big deal as long as you catch it pretty quick. Just dump in a couple of pounds of powered shock (extra high potency chlorine) and it will be fine in 30 minutes, UNLESS the pump blows up.

Now, if you happen to be out of town for a couple of days and it turns green from rain then you got a mess because things go to hell pretty quick and getting it back right can take some extensive effort and hundreds of $ in chemicals.  That happened last year and it was a 2 week nightmare so now we pay a nice high school boy down the street to come tend to it everyday while we are gone for more than 2-3 days.

US Womens basketball against China....32-7 at the end of the first quarter.  A real nail biter.
Just waiting on the women's showering diving finals.
