Watched an episode of Fixer Upper yesterday where the folks paid 50k for the house and put in another 220k into it. I couldn't get that gorgeous of a house here for 270k. Hell, I could barely get just a plot of land for that price.
And that would be because there are few jobs there and even fewer that pay much.

Keep in mind all the beautiful furniture and decorations do not come with that price.

Chit is a hot somebeach here today!

Taking a water break now but not too much more to do.
Then pool n cigar time!
All done with work and had a swim and shower.  On the patio with a short story cut and a book to read.  Nice with the shade and fans running.
That's it, I'm moving to Waco! They have jobs there, right?
Got to do a career change anyway, why not a new location?

Not in Waco that would be Austin.
Only a matter of time!

That sounds about right up my alley. I read it as, "hot blonds everywhere". Plus a possibility of running into Joanna Gains?? I'm in!
Never bad scenery walking around Baylor campus.

California's the worst. Tiny plot of land with a shack on it goes for half a Mil. No view, shitty neighborhood, miles from water. Cost you another half a Mil to deal with the permits and put something decent on it.

Don't see it there, Waco is a very strange place.  Only Commies there are professors but they stay pretty quiet around town.  CA Commies are busy taking over Ft Worth now.

Definitely a bunch of IT jobs in Dallas. I'll assume real estate is expensive there?

Edit: I don't even want to know. Can't stomach the Cowboys enough to even contemplate it.

The craziest thing about the CA Homebuyers that come here is they will only buy a brand new house except a few that buy very old houses in yuppie parts of town and redo them.  They will almost never buy a lived in house in the suburbs.

Actually Dallas housing is not too bad, much cheaper than here unless you want to live very close into town.

Good morning, men.
Morning Tony Cigar.
Hello David Michael. Hope all is well by you. Smoking anything?
Sipping some coffee and smoking a Vallejuelo Robusto, a very flavorful Dominican.  Occasional good deals on them at Holt's.
Checked there a bit ago, the roast is an absolute mess of nonsense.
Holt's is like JR with lots of house brands.

You will adjust.  Dallas is actually very nice for a big city.

Remember when DFW first opened and it was in the middle of nowhere between Dallas and Ft. Worth.
