The last time Hillary Clinton had a simple job to do,
she outsourced it to Monica Lewinsky.....
I've always felt sorry for Monica.  I think she got sucked into a bad deal.
How was it a bad deal for her, she has made a fortune off of one blow job and a cigar in her twat with no pictures.
Maybe we could get CI to name a cigar after her....?

I guess it would sound like that...!  Gurka, gurka, gurka, oouuugh...!
My wife has been hinting about a new car for running around town in.  She wants one of those Kia Souls, because she thinks the Hamsters are cute.  She just wants an automatic, and air.  Does anyone know anything about the Souls...?
Drives and feels as cheap as it is.

So, that sounds like a no.

Hey, I did too do something.  I paid off 8 months of living expenses from last year that was on my Visa card.  Bought and paid off a new computer this past 2 months, and the next thing on my list is a new TV which had been on the back burner for the past 7 months.  Once I get the tv, then it will hopefully be a car.  It just takes time to save the money before I can buy any thing. ugh..!

Have you considered looking at vehicles a couple years old with low mileage and still under some warranty?

You would probably drop the costs considerably. Most new cars drop in in value significantly after you drive them off the lot, imho, fwiw, no offense, etc, etc. Although, this will inevitably open up a bigger can of worms. ha!
I have also been looking at used cars too (on the internet.)  Here's what I've been running into.  Used trucks are almost out of the question.  They are very expensive and also have allot of mileage.  For used cars, it's common to find a 2013 - 2014 with 30,000k to 60,000k and let's say costing $14,000 and up.  My wife wants an automatic and air.  Basic new Soul with a 10 year 100,000 warrant cost $17,000.  So, do I buy a nice used Honda Accord, or pay $3,000 more for a basic new car that hopefully the dealer will repair for the next 10 years.  A car with 30k has a risk of some thing being wrong with it, may need new tires, and brakes. Now if I had an old man that lived next to me selling a 3 year old Buick with 12k miles for $13,000 - $14,000 I'd jump on it.  It's just very hard for me to decide.  Also, I drove 1,000 miles last year on my truck, and my wife drove about 1,000 on her car.  A used car with 36k miles represents 18 years of ownership to us.  Kinda weird, huh.. :)
That 10/100,000 Kia warranty only applies to internal parts in the drivetrain not bumper-to-bumper which is more along the standard 3/36,000.

Did I miss the lunch menu for today? I'm getting kinda hungry.
BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad and Grilled Vegies with Piña Colada Cake for dessert.

That does sound pretty good. Although, I'm so hungry right now I could eat a pina colada cake.  ;) ;D

Oh, and while I was paying off the Visa card, here's the tv I've been watching for the past 2 years.  I put it on an off channel so you can see the bad pixels better.  The blue ones are the bad ones if you can see them.

That's not a bad picture... when is your wife due?

We own one. Like it a lot, very little trunk space. Grocery shopping can be like playing Tetris at times, but we like it enough that it isn't a big deal.
Everyone I talk to, love them.  What did you get on your...?  And what engine did you get (1.6L or 2.0L)...?  Oh, and gas mileage, I was sort of worried about that.

Worried about gas milage when the BIG engine is the 2.0... come on BD.
I was aiming for a high mileage car.  But I watched a car review by Everyman Driver on Youtube and he said he was getting in the low 20's on a Honda Civic he was reviewing.  That car is rated by Honda to get 30-40 mpg.  So it would really bother me if I got a Civic thinking I'm going to get 35 mpg, and really get 21 mpg.  I know it's hard to believe, but things like that drive me nuts..   :o

1. Highway vs. City
2. Automatic vs. Manual
3. Was the model Si, Ex, Sx etc.

There are always variables. The Warden had a 1995 Ex at one time. Even then it got @30mpg
I got a new (2015) Honda Accord about 3 weeks ago, gets 34MPG on my commute to work. I was impressed, mostly highway but still. Odd thing is that I get 32MPG on the way in and 36MPG on the way home. Must be due to my Starbucks stop
or going to work could be uphill, and you get the downhill benefit on the way home....
I actually though of that flip and checked the elevations, home is considerably higher

Trucks are expensive everywhere. I see old beaters around with $5000 in the window all the time. If it were a car, they'd be lucky to get $500. A good resource for used vehicles is AutoTrader.com. You can filter by many things and get a sense of what's available for a certain price... dealer and private. The new car rebates do make you think, but personally, I think the better deal is in the car a couple years old. Plus, you have more feedback on an older car. The same car made in different years can have different pros and cons.
I'll have to check out AutoTrader.  I've been using Cars.com, Carsdirect.com, and Edmonds for info.  I do worry about a new cars with a new engine.  I've been finding it hard to research engines.  Years ago it was just standard knowledge that a Chevy 283, 327, Ford 289, 302, Plymounth 318 were good engines, but you don't hear that information much any more.  Again, let's use the Kia 2.0L engine.  All I can do is try to look at older models with the same engine and see if there's any complaints, or look at the used cars with high mileage with that engine.

My wife just gave me the green light on the Visa card (-0- Balance.)  So now I'm looking at tv too.  I'm still running into the same problem.  When they get low enough to buy, they discontinue them, and bring out a more expensive tv with some thing new on it.  Now it's the 4k thing.  I'm watching for a Father's Day or 4th of July Sale at Best Buy.

Warranties are a racket.  Manufacturers don't give anything away, and there's no free lunch - the cost of the warranty is built into the cost of the vehicle and the cost of non-warranty repairs.  So you're paying for it.  But for those who don't, won't, or can't work on their own vehicles, warranty roulette is the only game in town.

I can work on my own vehicles, I have good friends with the expertise, experience, facilities and special tools I may lack, and I have a great mechanic  who charges me an absurdly low labor rate for work for which I don't have time or energy, so long as I pay cash and can be patient about him getting to my vehicle - which I always can.  So I stay out of the new car (or motorcycle) racket.

Well, I wouldn't worry about UltraHD until it's more widely available. Now, it's mostly NetFlix and Amazon. You'll also need a minimum internet connection speed of 15Mb to make a difference. Tv's with the correct decoders for these services are a current issue as well.

What, no $80 per hour shop fees..?  I have a burnt out light bulb over the fuel gauge in the dash board.  Bulb = $3.00 labor $383.00.
