Thoughts for the Day
-------------------------

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

I work hard because millions on welfare depend on me!

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Don't take life too seriously; No one gets out alive.

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.

Earth is the insane asylum for the universe.

I'm not a complete idiot. Some parts are missing.

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

NyQuil, the stuffy, sneezy, why-the-heck-is-the-room-spinning
medicine.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

Consciousness: That annoying time between naps.

Ever stop to think, and forget to start again?

Being "over the hill" is much better than being under it!

Procrastinate Now!

I have a degree in liberal arts; do you want fries with that?

A hangover is the wrath of grapes.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a cash advance.

Stupidity is not a handicap. Park elsewhere!

He who dies with the most toys is nonetheless dead.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but it uses up three
thousand times the memory.

Ham and eggs. A day's work for a chicken, a lifetime
commitment  for a pig.

The original point and click interface was a Smith and Wesson.

Make your words sweet & tender today, for tomorrow you
may have to eat them.

No, unfortunately not. I honestly have way too many cigars (I know) and right after X-mas couldn't really justify another purchase. I showed restraint for once, hopefully I'll get another chance
Sounds like you need more enabling!
Indeed, I blame you
Thank You!
Don't let the FDA Fuk You!  74 quart Air Tight Tub at The Container Store @ +\- $20 will hold about 400 cigars in and maintain the humidity great. ;D.
I have one, works great. I also have another 3 medium and 1 large desktop humidors full. I have 400+ cigars and just don't get the kind of time to smoke that you guys do so my buying pace far outweighs my smoking. Lately I've been buying 5-10 cigars for every one I smoke
Chit, that is half the fun!  I have always done that until the last 2 months when it has become about 20-30:1, but the deals have just been unbelievable.
If I were in your position (at an advanced age) I would do the same thing!  ;D
LMAO Advanced Age, that is a good one. :). No denial either.

Oval Maduros are a very nice deal at today's prices.  Picked up some coronas.

They had better deals on some of these when they first kicked off with the burners but still not bad.

One would think this would fire up their competition

I suggest you lovingly embrace this deal early and often. They're gonna fly. These are my lowest AJ Fernandez prices ever - which by definition means the cigar industry's lowest prices ever. The gang's all here: New World, San Lotano, and Oval in all sizes and all wrapper varieties. A straight 45% hacked off AJ Fernandez is insane, plain and simple. Why do I do it? For one, I crave your attention. Two, I can’t stomach the fat CI/Famous/Thompson-style markups….that ain’t how customers deserve to be treated. Three, these are golden factory-packed mazos (no expensive wooden boxes) which shaves down cost a bit more. Take those ingredients, bake up the cake, and it comes out looking golden brown and righteous. Real righteous. Shove your pockets full and get outta here before they disappear.

Downside is that after this, you will never feel good about buying these cigars (or any other) from any one of our dirtbag competitors again! Don't take my word for it. Scour the interwebs, check Snopes, mull it over, bust out the abacus, suck down a few chili dogs outside the Tasty-Freeze, whatever it takes.

New event at CFest this year....no, not the Nate Tilt a Whirl......

In addition to our standard CIGARfest tickets, we’re also offering an upgrade option to enhance your CIGARfest experience. It’s the Alec Bradley and Rocky Patel event: cigars, booze, deals, and a live seminar from Alan Rubin and Rocky Patel. Tickets are required to fully enjoy this exciting new event, and we’ll give you an extra discount if you pre-register and buy them with your CIGARfest 2016 package.

Guess we'll be able to find out how to make great cigars, right from AB and RP!!!

New Worlds are almost all Gone but now they added a Pinolero in there. ???
The Pinolero's are about $35/Mazo more than I paid at the .Biz a few weeks ago.
In pretty short supply around other sites however.

Gun control sheesh!

I watched the first part of the speech. Early on he smirked, "It's not like we're going to confiscate all guns in the country." (paraphrase)
How many times does a person have to lie to you until you no longer believe him/her? When she says she loves you, but then has an affair with your best friend, do you still believe her?  When she says, the affair is over, but then you find lots of back and forth texts between them and she explains it saying, they're just friends?
Oooop, did I go off on a tangent?  How about when "he" says if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor or if you like your plan, you can keep your plan ... says the family will save over $1,000 a year on health expenses?  Then, none of these prove to be true for most Americans.  Tons of full-time jobs are converted to part-time, so that companies will not be compelled under the rules to provide health insurance to their employees.  Middle class Americans are not better off ... wages and full time jobs down ... not to speak of the "Shovel Ready Jobs" which never materialized.  When confronted about that, the response was that same smirk ... ha, ha, well I guess they weren't there like we thought.  Sorry for the rant, but when leftist progressives say that they won't do something (to assuage fears or counter the opposition), they usually are telegraphing exactly the opposite, what they actually are planning to do.  This ain't paranoia ... this is using memory and an knowledge of history to show, that it is rational/reasonable NOT to believe this guy, as persuasive as he may be.
P.S.  We all want to cut down on gun violence, usually committed by mentally ill or ideologically driven (for example: Islamic) extremists.
Rant over ... chalk it up to the infected tooth that blew up the right side of my face over the past couple days ... now on heavy duty antibiotics.
But, I just saw his made for TV drama presentation from the WH, then the issue brought up here and have to share some thoughts.  A lot of it is about TRUST, and this guy has absolutely lost his credibility for me ... and I wonder what happended to the memory of many fellow countrymen ... or were they just not paying attention, when these things have happened (and I haven't even brought up the use of the IRS and other government agencies for political ends, Benghazi, etc.
+++ Last big cigar ... had a 2015 Camacho Liberty series on Sunday ... which I was saving for a special occasion .... I was disappointed.  The HC Red Churchill I lit up a little later was much more enjoyable in flavor and draw ... until a friend who has a problem with cigars came up to talk for a long time and it went out, as with most cigars ... the relight was terrible ... never could recapture the first couple inches which were much more enjoyable than expected.

So can I assume you'll be voting for Trump?  ;) Howdy, SLY.
Hey Tony!  As I just said, I'm for a candidate who is serious about restoring our Constitutional government (as it's written, not as it can be distorted).
Although I like Trump's speaking free from political correctness, I have a feeling that he would ignore inconvenient parts of the Constitution, also.
So, I like the candidates who have articulated position consistent with our Nation's foundations.

P.S. I don't know if I mentioned that I was on your side of the bay in Lewes, DE, on the previous weekend. Visited the Dogfish Head brewery in Milton, took the tour + drank the samples ... just amazed at what they have built in a relatively short period of time.  I remember going to the restaurant in Rehoboth, when they were still brewing upstairs on the second floor. So, good.  Real nice weekend.

I don't even have a gun.  But I defend the right of folks to defend themselves, through responsible gun ownership.  Defend the Second Amendment, but not that alone, but in the context of the whole Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. Limited government.
+1  I'm just funnin'. I won't lie though, I'm thoroughly amused by the Donald.

Kinda like saying something offensive, but preceding the statement with "No offense, but"... It magically removes any accountability.

No Federal law against shipping booze out of state that is state laws preventing it where applicable.  When I lived in Missouri I ordered all my high end scotch from a place in New York but can't ship it into TX.

The Steelers are set to play Saturday in a wild-card playoff game vs. the Bengals thanks in part to the Bills' win over the Jets this past Sunday. Popular Pittsburgh sandwich company Primanti Bros. was grateful -- so much so they sent 80 sandwich kits to the Bills' facility. Eat up, Bills!
Been there and ate a famous sandwich, highly overrated, but really 80 sandwiches - BFD.

Not even about the sandwich... or the quantity
Nor newsworthy

Gun control sheesh!
Cigar control Sheesh!

Hear he got mad and cried...
OBAMA’S CRYING FUELS SPECULATION IT WAS FAKED

He is a good actor. I wouldn't discount an "advised" media play.

The Pinolero's are about $35/Mazo more than I paid at the .Biz a few weeks ago.
In pretty short supply around other sites however.
Sold out in a couple of days at the biz too
Pinolero Churchill's on the Free Fall at the bid site.  Watched two cycles, got as low as $129+

Just watched the replay on the news.  When he started to wipe one eye. Then brought his hand down, turned to his right, so that he could look face on to the camera, so it would catch his full face and tears running down.  Without any cynicism, it just looked like a conscious decision in the moment to take full advantage of those tears. Again ... rather than use reason, study and statistics to come up with solutions, he uses emotion to get his ideological agenda accomplished.  I remember reading Lenin telling his minions to make treaties, promises when expedient, because you can always break them when they are inconveniently in the way.  Same thing in Islam, this is in the book, that it is permissible to lie, when seeking to advance Shariah law. In both cases, the ends justify the means is their modus operandi.  One CAN use immoral means to attend their ends.  I don't minimize the pain of the families of gun violence, but it seems they are being manipulated when most vulnerable by those who seek to curb citizens' Constitutional liberties, because they personally disagree with or don't like them +++ Anyone pick up any of the CP deals? I've been trying to work my way through a sampler of AJ's finest ... Really liked the Enclave, did not like the New World Connecticut ... though I like the regular NW.

'Fixer Upper' stars launch a furniture line

Chip and Joanna Gaines of the HGTV show "Fixer Upper" have gone beyond the TV world with their new line of furniture, Magnolia Home, manufactured by Standard Furniture in Alabama. The furniture will be in stores in March, and which Houston area stores will stock it is expected to be announced in a couple of weeks.

The furniture collection has six genres: Primitive, Boho, Industrial, Farmhouse, French Inspired and Traditional. It's all designed by Joanna Gaines, whose influences include her frequent flea market expeditions.

I'm waiting for the anatomically correct Joanna blow-up doll.

Already planning to buy for the retirement home?
That is for you and Tony I can't stand them myself.  I think her taste is awful.

I do like her style. Even the shiplap.

Hey Oy, did you see the Militia's as the "D" deal and under the CI Clearance?  Looks like they are being fazed out.
They are actually a little cheaper on theClearance page and in some different sizes but without the "free" lighter.

But then you have the 10% from Ogie or 20% "NEWYEAR" that I just saw on the CI catalog that I got today (didn't look at the details).

The price of guns will go up 30-50% in the next 24 hours if you can find one for sale.
Yeah, probably going to bite the bullet and order an AR today. Just trying to decide which.
Good Luck.  Ruger is probably best for the money under $1k right now and M&P sport best for cheap end.
I went with the Windham.  I liked the action and trigger better than the M&P, the reviews are good, American made, chrome-lined barrel, fit and finish are excellent, and I had some Cabela's points to burn so got it cheaper than I could anything mail order.  Remember, I'm compelled to pay taxes on online purchases, plus the transfer fee.

From now on, if someone comments:"You guys discuss everything under the sun, except furniture, on the banter." He/she  will have to be corrected.

Not something you want to drink a lot of, but good for small sips like a liqueur.
