Just looked at our weather forcast, 8 straight days of temps 100° plus, utility companies are sure going to have a big month.
98-102 and 0-10% chance of rain is the 10 day forecast for here.

good morning guys. golf day, usual course under water and closed, trying a place on higher ground, first time I played there it was in terrible shape.
EPC 2nd robusto and coffee here.
Terrible shape beats not playing. Morning Dean.
true. the greens were like the tee boxes and the rough was in better shape than the fairways.
A little challenge is good....need that to improve the game.
If he's anything like me, his game IS the challenge.

I can just picture TexasDave strolling into work with a bounce in his step and a big smile on his face....
Estrogen crowd probably won't be in for a couple of hours though.
Hah, that is about right but there is some more grin to that deal, she and my idiot counterpart are going to the big meeting today and I would like to be a fly on the wall when they look like fools cause it will happen.

That sounds perfect for me as I usually spend 75% of the time in the rough and almost none in the fairway.

Good morning boys! Short week here, I'm off Friday to head to the shore (Bayhead) for my sister's 50th birthday extravaganza. I'm going in hot, packing 20 cigars and a Speedo!
Good morning SpeedonopicturespleaseScott.
I'll post the Snapfish link, no worries Chip
If Scott posts a link in the next few weeks about a great deal on LP 9s, no one click on it.
I'll get you with Buesos or specialty sausage  ;)
I'll smoke both!
But Dave, Hot Dogs are a dollar each....and you'll have how many?  And how many for the ladies?   Sounds like a lot more than a dollar game.
I thought the game was free.

Nahh she is normally always on my side but was legitimately between a rock and a hard spot in that deal.  Plus she is a little too young for retirement and wants to get promoted and unlike me has to give a shit.

I'll ask around. not many dives left in Crystal River. most bars went upscale for the snow bird tourist money. there's a vendor in front of Home Depot that has the best hot Italian sausage with peppers and onions, and a vendor behind the Police station with the best Philly steak, cheese, and mushrooms though.

there was a chili kit don't remember the brand, that had two different spice packages, told you in the instructions. if you were planning on feeding it to wimps or children, leave out the habanero spice packet.  was a brown box with red & black print.  came with the masa flour to thicken it too!

You're becoming a real cigar snob. haha. I have some as well.
Oh, jayzus...I've smoked several and they were a decent smoke. Overpriced and overhyped, so I won't buy them. But there are a boatload of worse cigars out there. Two boatloads, even.

I agree. Price is what keeps me from rebuying. Saw them on Bean's Sprinter @ 10/$38 and considered... even posted as much.
No way I'm going back to see what I paid but I've smoked 2, one was good the other horrible

I've had similar experiences with other AB's. That may be the other reason I don't buy the brand anymore.

Used to be a little bar in Crystal River (can't remember the name been longggg ago) and their specialty was called Three Beer Chili, called that because it was so hot it took three beers to eat a bowl of it.  Great little dive see if anybody knows about it still being there.
there was a chili kit don't remember the brand, that had two different spice packages, told you in the instuctions. if you were planning on feeding it to wimps or children, leave out the habanero spice packet.  was a brown box with red & black print.  came with the masa flour to thicken it too!
You talking about 2-alarm?
maybe 5 alarm, maybe Shelbys, could be another, may have even had all the spices packages in a small brown paper bag (maybe 3 inches wide). told you not to add beans, then it wouldn't be Texas chili...

picked up a bundle of Ci Knockoffs of a Montechristo blend (no idea which one) for my morning commute.  these seem to be good for what I was after, a decent mild smoke with some flavors.  While not a flavor bomb, the 1 I smoked today did have some light flavors and decent smoke.  Sorry, we can resume talking about beans and Gay people.

Fried shrimp for lunch, not on the doctors recommended diet but damn good and made me feel better so must have been good for me.
Wash it down with a Diet Coke?
Skipped my diet coke today!  Had good ol' water with lemon with lunch.
How are you making out? Are you trying to lose weight?

Trying, lost about 12 pounds need to lose about 50-60 more over time.  Mostly just trying to eat better, exercise more and get my blood pressure back down.

I normally drink iced tea with meals (unsweet variety) but the place I had lunch has terrible tea so just drank water.  Beer would have been better!

may be leaving a little early today, Warden & I are going to lovely Newark/Liberty airport,
to pick up our 17 year old and my mom.  The Montana vacation ends today.  then I get to cross state lines
to drop my Mom off in Staten Island.  my sisters figured they had other things to do, so plans were changed last evening.
No complaints, they taxi her around to all her medical appointments all year long, and the house is only about 20 minutes from EWR.

At least I got a little entertainment to watch out the window, cops are down the street wrestling one out of the homeless shelter.  4 of them got him on the hood of a car trying to get handcuffs on him.   Dope makes um go extra crazy when the weather gets really hot.

Can you hear them yellin' "stop resisting" as they beat his ass?
I did not hear anything...........  Took them a while to get him cooperative though.

Sounds like he gave them a little workout. Maybe some on the job training for a couple rooks.
As hot as it is out there I guarantee they were wore out, cops here do wear shorts in the summer though.

White guy though so don't really matter if they did work him over a little extra.
Yeah, seems the NAACP is only for certain colors, not all.

By the way you might not have seen it this weekend but I bought and tried some of the new and highly popular Root Beer Beer.   First sip was ok second sip was not so good third sip and I poured it out.    Really does taste like root beer but it is way over the top sweet.
What brand was that as I think there are a few out there now.  Think the top one is "Not Your Fathers Root Beer"
"Not your Fathers......"  was what I paid $12/6 for.  Just way too sweet.

I noticed at the store this weekend they had sold out of it.

So, -1 for Tx. and if he didn't like it, Bean would definitely hate it so -2.

I liked it for what it was. What'd you think AtlanticDave?
Well if you think Root Beer and not beer, I think it tastes great.  Sure can't taste any of the 5.9% alcohol!
