Today, September 19 is.............. National Butterscotch Pudding Day

People who have a sweet tooth are sure to love Butterscotch Pudding Day, which is held each year on September 19th. This special day is the perfect excuse to indulge in delicious butterscotch pudding. This dessert is extremely easy to make and uses brown sugar, butter, sugar and treacle. The ingredients are boiled together and then cooled until they set. The final constancy of butterscotch pudding should be light and creamy and budding chefs can have fun adding ingredients such as cream, milk and vanilla extract.

Although nobody knows the exact origins of Butterscotch Pudding Day, records show that this dessert has been around since at least 1848. There are a number of variations available on the standard recipe and butterscotch pudding is extremely easy to make. If you have children, making butterscotch pudding is the perfect way to celebrate Butterscotch Pudding Day. Or why not surprise someone special by making this sweet treat just for them.
Possibly more importantly, it's also International Talk Like a Pirate Day!

And for Tony, that can mean free Krispy kreme donuts!  http://www.ibtimes.com/talk-pirate-day-2016-krispy-kreme-3-ways-get-free-doughnuts-2417407
Kind of funny, most days there are 3 or 4 "National Days"

Painters and carpenters working in the house as well as outside all week so normality will not exist for us.  Got to move into the guest bedroom and bath tonight.  Hope they are able to finish this week as planned.

With all that work you're doing on the house, you may as well stay!

Dont think so, just been putting a lot of things off knowing we were going to move next year.

Some is maintenance, some is the termite repair and some is minor updating but we will enjoy it for 6-9 months, hopefully no longer though.   Master bath is all updating.

One would think the Market Futures would be in the tank with the bombing issues but DOW Futures are UP 70 points.

No use in trying to use rational thought on that.

Elizabeth, NJ - A device in a backpack was detonated near the Elizabeth train station early Monday as authorities were using a bomb robot to examine the item, officials said.

The blast occurred around 12:40 a.m. near Morris Avenue and Julian Place. The explosion was not a controlled blast, but happened as a bomb robot was cutting the device, according to Mayor Christian Bollwage. No one was injured in the blast, Bollwage said.

Police found five devices inside a single backpack near the train station, including one that went off. After the explosion, press and bystanders were moved back because the other explosive devices inside of the backpack were believed to still be live, Bollwage said.

On Twitter, the FBI's Newark division said "multiple improvised explosive devices" were found near the train station.

The incident unfolded after two men found the backpack in a waste basket on North Broad Street and Julian Place around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, the mayor said.

The men took the package "because they thought it was of some value," walked for a bit, then saw wires and a pipe, dropped the package and notified Elizabeth Police, he said.

Bollwage told reporters the explosives were found not far from Wally's Pub near the train station.
Trains are all messed up today because of it. Thanks O'Bummer.
