The funny thing is that most of what I knew about and bought were Cuban cigars. When I discovered CI they point you towards AB and RP so if you're never exposed to people who know their stuff, you think those are the best the industry has to offer
I'm sure most of our early ordering histories are also riddled with crap. I know I've got some shit on there in the early days.
For sure, I bought some Decades and 15th Anniversary's that were decent. Smoked a 15th maybe 6 months ago for shits and giggles. Not a "bad" cigar just no depth

I remember I bought some Arganese Uno once on MMAO, I believe, because they each came in those wooden boxes. Thought surely that meant they were pretty good. Great example of packaging creating another sucker.

I bought several RP's and Decades, Edge Maduro's and Vintage 1992's were all pretty good.  Vintage 1990's were horrible.

Time to have a little breakfast and hit the roads of East Texas. Be home this evening.

With all this confessional stuff this morning, funny no one has fessed up to Gurkha's and Acids...

Don't think I've ever had a legit Acid. I used to like the Natural, whichever one didn't have the sweetened tip. Haven't had one in forever, though. And I think one of my early orders was a sampler that had a 5V Gold, a Park Avenue and something else. So that's probably the only Gurk I've ever purchased.

As long as we're sitting in the confessional, once purchased a 10er of La Estrella Cubana robs.  Been so long I can't remember who told me they were a nice smoke. Most are still sitting in the "pit of despair" humi awaiting the canal.

I got some of those, as well. I found them to be a good golf course smoke.
