Morning Bean, guess I will not be mowing my grass this morning.
Yeah, raining again, but when it finally stops that new mower is going to get a workout. Watching grass grow is actually possible around here these days.
As long as you have a cigar and a beverage, it's not so bad.
Indeed.  Stopped long enough last night for us to watch the baby owls emerge from their box.  Five again this year.  Goofy looking sumbitches, and of course clumsy as hell, but 4 of the 5 able to stay in the trees is not bad.
They are goofy.  Get any good pictures?  So what did you do with the fifth uncoordinated one?
Pictures, yes, but like a dumbass only at home.  It was getting dark by the time #5 went for it, so not sure about him.  Ma and Pa were keeping a close watch, so hopefully he made it through the night.  There was another one this morning poking his head out of the box.  Not sure if that's one of the earlier ones gone back for protection from the rain or #6.

Top News of the Day:
In 1536 - Anne Boleyn, Queen of England, stands trial in London
on charges of treason, adultery and incest. She is condemned to
death by a specially-selected jury. ~ Being married to Henry VIII
was almost as bad as being a drummer in Spinal Tap
In 1935 - The Moscow Metro is opened to the public. ~ It only
had one stop but the people were happy for the modern convenience of going nowhere.
In 1940 - McDonald's opens its first restaurant in San Bernardino,
California. ~ The sign out front read "Over 6 Sold".

good morning guys. been busy.
EPC 2nd robusto and coffee here.
have to help one buddy move a large glass top for his dining room table, 1"x5'x7' then take a buddy shopping, he filed bankruptcy and they repo'd his car.
bikerlady coming late today for the weekend, will probably take the kayaks out before sunrise tomorrow.
Thought she wasn't a morning person.
she's not, she doesn't know about tomorrow yet and is going to be pissed, until we get there, bought her a fishing pole so she'll calm down, hopefully provide some dinner.
More likely she will use that fishing pole to whoop the chit out of Dean.

OK, let's look at this again.... you really think you want to give someone a fishing pole, as a potential weapon, while you are trying to get her out kayaking, BEFORE SUNRISE, is a wise move?
Flip, the little head does all the thinking and do you believe it thinks that way?

Morning Dean.  Did I miss the report on the recent BBQ party you had planned for your new "in-laws"?
There was no report Mark. They showed up, ate, talked, took all the leftovers, kind of like a quick tornado passing through.

Dead Day on the Cigar Deals too unless maybe we can come up with a FS code to use with the CI $20 gift card deals.  Ogie is kind enough to be working on that for us.
It really is, not much happening on the bid sites either. Famous seems to have slowed their pace, more time between deals closing and a later start time for closing deals
If we can get a FS code a hell of a deal on 601 Greens with the $20 gift card offer.

No Jam and no FS codes while the gift card deal is going is probably not a coincidence
I have EPC New Waves in my cart from the last jam, may go with the DPG Blues with the $20 card

How dare you doubt him, Dean has always been a bastion of good decisions.

We have them.  Armadillos, too.  I was having a cigar one evening last week when an armadillo came waddling up through the shrubs next to the house, onto the patio, and walked right under my chair.  I finally had to say "Dude, I'm right here", which gave him a start and sent him back in the direction from whence he came.  They have poor eyesight but a great sense of smell, so not sure how he missed me.

The fishing pole won't be given to her until we get to the water, she loves fishing more than anything, should be good. I hope.

Man knows how to play his cards!   Blues are another good offer I am just not a Big fan of them, don't persecute me I know many folks love them but it is one of a few DPG's I am not fond of.

Just saw that they have Victory at Sea on tap at Nik's Wunderbar, is it an issue if I go there for a pint before the bus stop?
JWacky would.
Enough said
Maybe just stay in the car and send your son in with the empty growlers to be filled.
Good idea, he could handle it. No growler fills on that beer at this place though...don't blame them. I'll have to use my tummy as the growler!

OK, good to hear no ensuing drama.  Now make sure it stays that way, young man!
