Happy Tuesday, all.
Morning Joe

Morning, Scott.  Had a Ninkasi Imperiale stout last night.  Pretty damn good, but it did have a weird metallic aftertaste to it.  I can't really ever describe that sensation better than that but I get it from time to time with beer.  Someone once explained to me what it was, but I forget.

Also, debating whether to make an effort to follow the Kings or the Ducks, been watching them a lot lately.  Ducks just announced that they're relocating their AHL team to San Diego next year, so that could be fun.  Or maybe I'll just watch whoever's on and see if a team sticks.
Both good and successful, LA gets my vote though.  Couple of alumni from UND play there(Matt Greene(Asst Capt) and Derek Forbert)

Hmmm... I've watched more Kings games in the past month or so than the Ducks.  But Anaheim is MUCH easier to get to than where the Kings play in downtown Los Angeles.  I know most about the Capitals from radio podcasts I listen to from back east, but I'm not paying extra money to get them on TV.  Gotta be someone I can watch regularly.
I'm actually excited about the start of the MLB season this year to see how my Mets progress. You can all GFYs in advance

Yeah, well, I'm ALWAYS most excited for baseball.  Everything else just passes the time.  I can't get in to college basketball, so hockey is a nice diversion until baseball starts up.  Padres should be decent this year.  I'll always be a Yankees fan but at least the local team will be worth watching.  In years past I've felt like they should pay ME to go the games.
The Padres figure to take a considerable step forward this year, no?

Tuesday
$3 meal option-1
   Soup Chicken Noodle
   Salad Bar
$5 meal option-2 combination of any/all of the following:
   Soup  Chicken Noodle
        Salad Bar
   Made to order deli sandwich
Pork Piccata over Lemon Buttered Linguine Noodle
   Grilled Cheese
Slim pickings.  Any Piccata that isn't made by a superb cook will suck.  Hit the 7-11 for a taquito.

On paper, anyway.  Lots of injury prone guys in that outfield so we'll see how long it lasts.  Should be a fun April for them, at least.

Grilled cheese and soup might have to do - I'll see how the sandwich bar looks

That's what I'm afraid of for the Mets, just a fun April. Big key is how Matt Harvey comes back (obviously) but he's been off for 19 months and I heard they modified the tendon slightly on his surgery from the past, lengthened it and is supposed to speed recovery or some shit

If it were me, I'd be afraid to ever use my arm again if a tendon ruptured inside of it.  Don't know how these guys get past that, mentally.

Or Giancarlo Stanton, when he got hit in the face last season.  That'd be the last you'd see of me.  Or it'd be like Rookie of the Year... I'll bat, but I won't be standing in the batter's box.

Morning, Dave.  Nice to talk with someone in warm weather, I just can't relate to these other guys any more.  I've forgotten where I came from, I guess.  Intentionally.
