I had a warranty problem years ago. My air-conditioner went out after the warrantee expired. I went onto a website (I can't remember), that issues repair bulletins to dealships. The air-conditioner had a known flaw and they had issued a repair part#xxx to take care of the problem that I was having. Since the dealership would not repair the problem, I wrote a letter to the Division level stating that even thou my car was out of warrantee, this was a known issue and a repair bulletin had been issued to correct it. I felt in good faith that since you already knew the default was there when the car was originally built, that you should honor the warrantee. The Division level contacted the dealership which called me and corrected the problem under warrantee.
