AfternOon all. On the patio with a Nica Libre lit and a very nice home brewed stout.  Little chilly out but not bad.

Had my favorite sandwich anywhere at the Tattooed Moose in Charleston for lunch.  It is a Duck Club Sandwich, yes made with real duck breast with fresh cut fries cooked in duck fat.  It is beyond belief good.  Also had a local brewed Stout from Holy City Brewery called Pluf Mud.  All damn good!
I could have done without that description.  I'd quite enjoyed my lunch, until I had to compare it to the Duck Club sandwich.  Dammit.

It's 36 degrees outside, and of all things, I have another mole in my backyard.  I already got 5 at the end of the summer and I thought that would be the end of them.  I'm starting to think there must be a mommy mole living under my central air unit..?
hi Steve. moles are like skunks, they love to eat grubs (japanese beetles), treat your lawn for grubs and you'll get rid of the moles, unless you find pleasure in hunting and killing them.
When you get that mole, I have a woodchuck under the garage & deck you could go after, not to mention feral cats....
By next spring, I may have enough experience to start a business catching these damn things.  My friend that taught me how to catch a mole charges $30 each.  I said to him, "who the hell would pay $30 for a mole...?  He said, "the people that live in the $250,000 houses and just spent a fortune on landscaping."

Now, you say 'catch' them, so dead or alive isn't implied. Which would mean he probably catches them, then lets them go in one of the neighbors yards... smart business sense.
So far I've caught all but one alive.  I took them to a country area and turned them loose in the woods.  The one ran under the shovel and committed suicide when I first shoveled down to catch him. So it really wasn't my fault.

Sorry but it is really good, I never come to Charleston without having one and definitely some world class fries.  Man vs Food guy visited there a few years ago.

And Guy Fieri too.  Good for a visit once a year or so, then a year's worth of Lipitor regimen.

It's actually the getting dark at 5:30pm that's driving me batty.

I know of no better sandwich anywhere - including the more famous Primanti's.
