DE BLASIO SIGNS NEW YORK CITY TOBACCO TAX HIKE, PRICE FLOOR

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio signed a variety of anti-tobacco bills including one that will raise the price of cigars in New York City.

It’s somewhat of a complex scenario, but smokers should expect to pay 80 cents extra per cigar. The new law requires that no cigar be sold for under $8 in New York City and that a 10 percent tax of the price floor, i.e. 80 cents, be paid.

I heard about this. Basically, even the biggest piece of crap you can find in a shop can't be bought for under $8.80.

And just where does it say we are being inundated with Mexican volunteers or Mexicans are paying to volunteer,it is a long article and perhaps I missed that part.  It says the Mexican Government has offered military..... assistance which the State has not yet accepted.
