A Bit of Crazy News for Monday

A woman had a bullet lodged near her heart after her boyfriend fired a gunshot during a fight about a broken refrigerator Sunday at the couple's home in Liberty County.

The incident happened about 11:50 a.m. on County Road 2502 in the Knight's Forrest subdivision, according to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the woman and her boyfriend, later identified as Darin Lee Walker, argued about a refrigerator that was not working. During the argument Walker got angry, grabbed a gun and fired a shot. He told investigators he fired the gunshot in the opposite direction from his girlfriend. Yet the bullet, deputies said, passed through the woman's arm, pierced her side and came to rest just near her heart.

The woman was flown by LifeFlight medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann-The Texas Medical Center. Her condition was not released.

During the investigation, deputies discovered Walker to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

good morning, had an interesting Friday night, the warden and Daughter,
went to a Pocono timeshare, with a couple of my daughters girlfriends after prom.
So, I figured where can I go that the wife never wants to go... Karaoke!  at a restaurant
called Al Di La, on route 17 south.  dinner for one, but I get invited over to a table
of ladies on a girls night out, after my first song.  they asked to get me to help them
sing, so we put up the dreaded Paradise by the Dashboard Light, by Meatloaf. Stacy &
Felicity, were scheduled to sing that with me.  they must have been there for at least an hour before me,
since there was one as a designated driver, and two were acting as the designated drinkers.  My 3rd song
was "Crazy little thing called Love" by Queen, and Stacy ran up and decided we should sing it together.
They took videos, on cell phones, but I didn't get a copy.  We did the PbtDBL, before leaving.  Lots
of decent singers, some I haven't seen in years, it was a good night.

sorry, karaoke Short hand, Paradise by the Dash Board Light, usually sung by a girl who
drags up her date to sing the song.  Most men can't do it justice, I have been singing it for
years. no harm no foul, although I did have some Cosmo spilt on me, by Stacy, who was two years old
when I graduated high school. go figure, when I was single I barely got invited to sit with good looking women.

one other thing, seems, they live near the past president of the PTA for Gabrielle's school,
when I mentioned it's name, they said then your daughter knows, Amanda W, and I said I
was familiar with her Mom, from school fundraisers, just give her the video, and she will get
it to me, just show it to her, or mention Al, I only go by flip in karaoke, and online.

A guy that used to live there took me to it but otherwise I was a tourist!
I did also eat a sandwich at Primanti Bros. in the Strip District a couple of times.  Good but a bit different I must say.
I can see why you would think that, however since they are part of my diet it just seems normal!

Good afternoon! How are things in Texas today?
Cloudy and on the cool side for this time of the year.

Where are you at?
Pittsburgh.. Sun is trying to peer from behind the storm clouds.. Still about 70 degrees so I'll take it
Pittsburgh, been there a couple of times for the International Bridge Conference.   Ate at some good place one time on top of the hill over the river near an old tram.
It's the place to be if bridges are your thing.. About 446 total around the city... Sounds like you were on Mt. Washington -- Monterey Bay Fish Grotto perhaps?
Been about 7 or 8 years and sure can't remember the name, old building looked sort of like an old house at one time.
Hard to tell.. That whole area is constantly evolving.. A lot of good places -- I picked the one most visited by tourists, lol

If nearby I would eat them regularly myself.

Used to be a real hassle getting liquor in restaurants or hotels but their desire for tourist bucks has outweighed religious conviction.  Laws have been changed considerably.

Nah, lotion spoils you. Then when/if there is none available, you're not able to take care of things. I may have given this some thought.
