A blonde is terribly overweight, so her doctor put her on a
diet. "I want you to eat regularly for 2 days, then skip a day,
and repeat this procedure for 2 weeks. The next time I see you,
you'll have lost at least 5 pounds."

When the blonde returned, she shocked the doctor by losing
nearly 20 pounds.

"Why, that's amazing!" the doctor said, "Did you follow my
instructions?"

The blonde nodded... "I'll tell you though, I thought I was
going to drop dead that 3rd day."

"From hunger, you mean?", asked the doctor."

"No, from skipping."

Nebraska Legislator Seeks Tobacco Store Tax

While one Nebraska legislator wants to raise the tax on tobacco products, another wants to place a flat tax on every transaction at a cigar store in the Cornhusker State. HB 2634, filed by Delegate Don Perdue (D-19) and co-sponsored by three other Democrats, seeks an increase in the “other tobacco products” ...

Jordan Spieth seems like a pretty good guy, but if you want a reason to hate him, check out his new bachelor pad:

http://brobible.com/sports/article/jordan-spieth-8-million-mansion-golf-clap-sick/3/
He is ok and his Mom is nice but his father is a dipstick POS

I don't hate him but I hate the system for allowing athletic salaries to get where they are.
That's true but golf is a bit different, he's made that money because he's won, not because he's being paid a salary before succeeding
Sort of true but all you got to do is be top 25 to make a ridiculous amount of money.  Top 10 and you can own your own jet next 15 get sponsored by NetJet, etc who furnishes them jet time.
If you're top 10 in the world at most anything, you're getting paid well

Do not bother bidding on the following box, due to a certain BOTL involved this product will wind up being too expensive:

EP Carrillo Seleccion Oscuro Robusto Gordo - Box of 24

Current bid to win: $399.99

Without further ado, we give you "His Majesty’s Reserve." The most expensive cigar in the world. Featured in Maxim Magazine, normally this elusive cigar can only be acquired at the top casinos of the world, or by specially ordering a box through Gurkha directly.
Flip should get right on that one.  That one bid is more than total of 7 pages of Gurkha offerings I'm sure.
I am happy on Gurkhas I bought yesterday at $2 apiece. $399 better be at least 200 cigars, not a single cigar, infused with Remy Martin, Louis XIV.  First buy from the page, usps tracking, says it will show up on Friday.  Not bad for free shipping.  good morning boys.

Only two sports I know of that the large numbers of players own and travel in very high end private jets - Golf and Car Racing, even worse is car racing where you got Nascar & F1 Drivers that have never won a race owning and traveling in high end private jets.

Don't blame me if it goes over $10 though...
Uh-oh, the LTG factor is already kicking in, up to $31 to win
I didn't touch anything....I just looked.....
That's all it took. Maybe LTG should empower you as his buying agent
@CheapyCheapoDave.  As your buying agent, check in with your deal before you leave work.  Set your upper limit to $46.
I always set my upper limit when I first bid, and it's $43. I know they can be had for that, so that's my limit. At this point, it's the principal of the thing. Besides, I've got a couple of cigars. I've got time to wait it out.
No, they can be had by ME at that price.  As your buying agent I suggest setting your limit at $46 to help stop the bidding at $43....Fishmath bidding!
And maybe I should focus my attentions on the weekend, when probably not as many people are paying attention.
Don't try factoring logic into this, it will only fuck you up!

Yeah, logic and cbid don't mix. That's why I set my limit and forget it. Usually completely.

$400 Gurkha lull?
Mid-year performance review lull.   Yeah January is the middle of the year in case you did not know that.

Of course I am still just amazing!
Speaking of reviews, still haven't had Tony check in today. Hope he's surviving the axe.
Hell yeah I hope so, been wondering about him this morning.  Sounds like a colossal fuct up operation he works for.
There's plenty of them...http://www.wsj.com/articles/johnson-johnson-plans-to-cut-6-of-workforce-1453205772
All companies are subject to cuts and mostly always at the expense of hard working people and the bonus of top azzholes.  But in Tony's case I was actually referring to the way they have managed it cutting people a few at a time over 3 or 4 days with everyone going home at night wondering if tomorrow is their turn.......  That is some kind of craphole management there.

Astronomical question for the day....
If we can take pictures of distant galaxies and nebulae, now identify planets in other solar systems, how is it we are now just discovering Planet 9 in our own solar system...and only by theory with no pictures?  Guess we have our telescopes focused too far out, no wonder we keep missing these asteroids that keep sneaking in....not to mention the invading alien spacecraft....
I think you answered your own question - because it's by theory. It's a big ass sky up there, lots of area to cover.

The orbital period for Planet Nine would be approximately 10-20 thousand years, and it's a long way out. The difficulty is locating it against the star field.  The reason they came up with the hypothesis is that something out there is causing some objects in the Kuiper Belt to have identically peculiar orbits. A planet would do it, so now they're looking for a planet.

Morning, muchachos.

Well, if it isn't the belt buckle on the Kuiper Belt.

Eagle Ford is one of the 5 major oil fields in TX and this sort of shows the magnitude of the cheap oil:

The number of active oil and gas drilling rigs in the Eagle Ford Shale has shrunk from 259 at the boom's peak in 2012 to 68 today, according to oil field services firm Baker Hughes.

new HD TV, you need to watch a Blu-ray disk, over an hdmi cable.  I hate those folks who buy a high scan multiple lines of resolution TV, and want to know why the yellow cable from their VCR doesn't attach anywhere.  8)

I have the Blu-ray player, and Hdmi cables, but I don't own a Blu-ray movie yet.  My Dish service is old and only supports the red, white, and yellow cables, so you can imagine how that looks at 60".....  My outside antenna picks up 1080p which looks great, and Netflix looks pretty good too.  But so far I don't think I've seen any 4k yet.  My Blu-ray is supposed to upgrade to 4k, so I still need to check that out too and see what happens.

Howdy TR....  I'm wore out.  Monday was doctors appointments.  Wednesday the TV was delivered (more new technology to learn, ugh...!)  Today, we spent all morning at the hospital so my wife could get a heart scan, Doppler or something like that.  And I just finished up the lunch dishes.  Friday is babysitting.  So now I'm going to try and figure out how to turn on this new tv and hopefully watch a movie.  On a good note, I do have a 5 pack of Room 101's that are to arrive today.
new HD TV, you need to watch a Blu-ray disk, over an hdmi cable.
That's one of the great things about 4K....there are no common signal delivered in 4K and almost no media content available.

62 degrees and mostly sunny think I will go home and smoke a seagar with some elixir to sip.
Think I may join you in that decision....although I'll have to settle for 32 degrees.

Hi all....  Just lurking a little.
Hello Lurking Dad
Howdy TR....  I'm wore out.  Monday was doctors appointments.  Wednesday the TV was delivered (more new technology to learn, ugh...!)  Today, we spent all morning at the hospital so my wife could get a heart scan, Doppler or something like that.  And I just finished up the lunch dishes.  Friday is babysitting.  So now I'm going to try and figure out how to turn on this new tv and hopefully watch a movie.  On a good note, I do have a 5 pack of Room 101's that are to arrive today.

depending on your tastes, suggested Blu-rays: Blade Runner, Avatar, try BestBuy.com, they have a shitload of Blurays for 4.99 and 5.99 let the wife pick out about half of them
I think my son has some Blu-rays.  Probably The Advengers or something by Marvel...  Let my wife pick a movie...?  Ha, ha,ha,ha,ha, and ha.....!  She'd pick a season of Reba, Cake Boss, Undercover Boss, or even some thing really stupid...  She watches the Hallmark Channel.  All December I had to watch non-stop reruns of the Hallmark Christmas movies.  She also tells you what the whole movie is before you watch it...  And each time the same movie come on, she forgets that she's already told me about it, so I have to sit through the same story before each movie....  This has been going on every Christmas for the past 7 years.  Aaaaaaa...!!!

Why didn't you have the delivery guys go over that before they left?
They called 20 minutes before they got here to tell us they were on their way.  They told us to have all of our paths and walkways shoveled of snow before they get here.  3" of snow and these great big pussies needed it shoveled...!!!  They looked at my old tv like it was an anvil...  I said, "Really, this tv is all box and actually light. If you guys can't handle it, my wife and I will carry it out.."  They both pick it up and found out that it weighed about 36 lbs.  They unboxed, and sat the new tv on the stand, plugged my Dish (red, white, yellow cable) in, handed me the remote and said, "goodbye." They were ok, but I was happy they left.

Damn, what Weather Channel are you watching...?  The weather girls in St. Louis sure don't look like that.  Actually, most of them are men now that I think of it...?

My cigars didn't come today...   >:(   The last time I looked, they were in Hazelwood, Mo since Monday.  I checked the tracking and it say's, "Were sorry, but the tracking is not working now..."  Can you believe that...?  I bet they are all smoking my cigars at the Post Office...

We've been thinking about that.  We've been having some weird problems with our remotes.  The buttons are hard to press down on, and I think the buttons are sending the wrong signals.  Such as you press Channel Guide, and it responds with some movie description.  Also the remotes will only work with you point them in certain directions, mostly works with pointing it out the window..  Just weird.

Nope, not the batteries.  My brother was telling me about the same problems a few years ago and I thought he just didn't know how to work his Dish Network.  It's a real pain in the ass because some times it opens the correct screen or opens the wrong screen that you have to back out of.
