Speeders
-------------------------

Sitting on the edge of the highway waiting to catch speeders, a state police officer
saw a car driving along at 22 M.P.H. He thinks to himself, that car is just as dangerous
as a speeder. So, he turns his lights on and pulls the car over. Approaching the car, he
notices there are 5 old ladies, two at the front and 3 at the back, wide eyed and looking
like ghosts.

The driver, obviously confused, said, "Officer, I dont understand, I
wasnt doing over the speed limit!  What did you pull me over for?"

"Maam," the officer said,  "You should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be dangerous".

"Slower than the speed limit? No sir! I was doing exactly 22 miles an hour", the old woman said proudly.

The officer, trying not to laugh, explains that 22 is the route number, not the speed limit.  A little embarrassed, the
woman smiled and thanked the officer for pointing out her error.

"Before I go Maam, I have to ask, is everyone ok? These women seem badly shaken and havent said a word since I pulled you over."

"Oh! theyll be all right in a minute, officer. We just got off Route
142" ...

Yep, stayed about 50 miles to the east of the forecast where they least needed it. For the most part signigicantly less rainfall everywhere than forecast hyped, imagine that!  There are a lot of areas of TX that due to geography flood with a heavy shower and make the news.

Feeling like I walked in to the wrong room.  Just killing time at this point, 10:30 hits and I'm outta here.  Feel like two and a half hours is a solid day's work, all things considered.  Trying to write up "how to" documents so they never call me again, not that I'll answer if they do.  Unless they pay me.

Sheesh, somewhat quiet around here lately.  Not that I've been contributing much.
Hey there Joe, feeling neglected?

Feeling like I walked in to the wrong room.  Just killing time at this point, 10:30 hits and I'm outta here.  Feel like two and a half hours is a solid day's work, all things considered.  Trying to write up "how to" documents so they never call me again, not that I'll answer if they do.  Unless they pay me.
As much as you try, they won't be able to transition that seamlessly. They will call and get voicemail
Just put them on the reject call list. I love seeing that notification come up when I'm using my phone, and knowing that some schmuck tried calling, but my phone defeated him.

Sent the Warden a text asking what she wanted for dinner.

Response - Something good I have had nothing today but a granola bar and agrivation!

Hmmm, dinner should be pleasant.

Evening men. Just returned from a nearby (to the hotel) cigar shop. http://www.topshelfcigar.com/ (http://www.topshelfcigar.com/)

Has the makings of a nice little shop, well detailed quaint old building in a nice area with a brick paved covered porch out front.  Decent enough cigar selection with middle-of-the-road B&M pricing.

Would have been great except for the indifferent attitude of the mgt.  The porch hadn't been swept out since last fall, there were empty boxes strewn about, one nice wooden chair and two dirty plastic ones, and the shop itself was real cluttered as well.  And no inside seating area.  Not surprisingly the guy behind the counter had the same don't-give-a-schitt attitude.  While I did enjoy an LFD Airbender, I won't be back.  Will have to try the one in Doylestown next time.

Don't forget New Hope!

Mom-in-law's 80th birthday today.  I'm gonna try to sneak out of here soon and get a cigar in first.
Well congratulations and Happy Birthday to her!
Thought the raindrops were gonna start falling again but I lit her up anyway.  Nice cigar but not my favorite MoW Side Project.

Lit up your MnL?
Think I will join Mayor Tony with a Skull Crusher tonight.  Nice cool break from the last few.

Cooler here tomorrow as well, though a chance of rain.  Hoping Mr. Bill is out of the way for my flight back to Texas tomorrow afternoon.
