Post by: CigarBanter on October 04, 2014, 12:00:47 AM
Sheesh, October already?!  Join in this cigar talk with the rest of us and learn something along the way.  Be warned, you will catch hell if you post something everyone doesn't agree with.  And heaven forbid if you should make a grammatical error, you'll be berated with GFYs!  So don't proceed if you have thin skin.  Then light a cigar, pop open your favorite pumpkin beer and welcome aboard!

I will seek and find You . . I shall take you to bed and have my way with you.

I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan & groan.

I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop.

I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I'm
finished with you.

And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days.

Since #2 Oregon went down to an unranked team and #18 BYU went down to unranked Utah State I would say upset weekend is well under way.

I believe I only have one biscuit, a Grands Frozen one.  And I've been asking my wife to buy gravy for biscuits and gravy for the past 3 weeks, but she say's, "I can't buy it because I don't know which gravy goes with biscuits....!"  I may have to stop at Hardee's when I go over to the kids house in a little while.

Hardee's will fix you right up on Biscuits. Just an FYI there is a brand of frozen biscuits called Mary B's that are every bit as good as almost any homemade buttermilk biscuit.  Some grocery stores carry them but most Walmart's have them. They are in a red and white bag.

I am probably the only old fart from the south that does not like gravy on biscuits and don't like white gravy period.  I like brown gravy.

About 2 weeks ago while walking with the kids, we stopped and talked to the new neighbor that lives across the street.  I'd say she's around 46 years old, blonde, just a little over weight.  She was very nice.  She said she has a 5 year old granddaughter and might stop by with her when she comes to visit.  The very next weekend (last Saturday), I hear a knock at the door, around 10:30am, and it's her and her granddaughter. We take the kids outside to play.  The grandmother looks very nice, and she's all made up with her make up on.  I'm not sure if your familiar with comfort zones or not, but when some one stands closer then around 2 1/2 feet from you, you know it.  Well, she's about a foot from me.  She's telling me that she's divorced, and lives by herself.  Other then her granddaughter making me a nervous wreck due to being clumsy and getting hurt every 10 minutes, it was a nice visit.  But I don't know what I've gotten myself into..?

I haven't seen the Mary B's, but I'll keep an eye out for them.  I like the Frozen Grand Biscuits, because you can just take a couple out at a time and make them.  I've had some damn good white gravy at restaurants, but I can't make good gravy to save my soul...   I can make gravy, but it doesn't that fantastic flavor, just plain white gravy.  Recently, we were at Cracker Barrel restaurant, and they had the best biscuits I've ever had.  I'd like to try their biscuits and gravy..!

I make great biscuits but the Mary b's are to good and to easy to make them from scratch, but a good white gravy with sausage is hard to beat.

Sounds like a slippery slope you don't want to start down.
I think your right...  I think I'll just babysit the kids and not the grandma's...!

My wife just came in from work.  She said my truck has Oysters on it's windows.  Surely she meant, "moisture," don't you think...?

Good morning guys....!!!
Morning BD.  I got  biscuits and sausage going here for breakfast what you cooking today?  Don't drink the orange juice though!

Bag of 12 or so and they are individually frozen so can use as few as 1 no problem.  25-30 minutes at 375 and ready to go.   Got to cook pork sausage in pan and crumble up then make gravy in that grease and meat.  Don't like it but seen many a gallon made at hunting camps and oil rigs.

I make great biscuits but the Mary b's are to good and to easy to make them from scratch, but a good white gravy with sausage is hard to beat.
I believe it's Allrecipes.com that has some good recipes that I'm going to have to try for gravy.  And there's a couple of Copykat.com websites that have some good recipes too.
You cook gravy with love, practice and feel not recipes.

While I was in the shower, my wife told me she had bough some bagels.  They are big, so she asked if I wanded half of her.  Bacon, egg, and cheese bagels.  Sounded pretty good.  I found my half of begel.  Rather than slice it from top to bottom, she sliced it side to side, so she got all of the bacon, egg and cheese top part, and I got the bottom all bread part.  Oh, god...!

Better alternative turn the hot water off at the tank while she is showering then tell her the hot water heater broke but you will try and fix it while she is at work.  Then while she is at work you can relax and smoke cigars and watch tv.  When she gets home you worked on it for 7 hours but got it up and running again.   Bingo you are a hero!

speaking of landlady. her and her husband are suppose to be vacationing in SC for ten days but she just came tearing in here and going nose to nose with the park manager. guess he's going to be out of here well before the first of next month.
Thought she already ran him off after the clubhouse ordeal.
too many second chances I guess. I told her that she was a businesswoman and needs to run this place like a business if she wants to make money. I guess something changed her mind. hope it wasn't my toilet.

She will have to learn with that responsibility there are no vacations either.  An afternoon off is a vacation.

JOYA RED is a nice cigar. Nutty is the word that comes to mind as I smoke this cigar. It also has some nice salty tobacco flavors and pleasant finish. This is the toro and the cigar is well made, with a nice draw. I do need to puff a few times to get it going if I dont hit it every 30 seconds. The start was a cashew nut flavor developing into a roasted salty nut as I progressed. I think the BOTL that hit this on the jam will be happy. Shalom.

Lol Mike, quick post for me, in NYC for our anniversary just saw Jersey Boys. If you haven't been to the theater in NYC you don't know what you're missing, the show was fantastic. We're in our hotel in Times Square, going to Dinner at 8 And the weather just cleared out so all good. Would love to smoke tonight but most of NYC is private cigar bars so a nice stogie may have to wait
