Really depends on a lot of factors, including how and how much one is compensated now, and how much one expects to profit on the investments in the Roth. With a traditional IRA you're presumably taxed at lower rate when you retire because you won't be making as much money. But it all gets taxed, including capital gains, when you withdraw it. With the Roth, the capital gains aren't taxed.
