This is Tim's sixth deployment since he joined in 2002.  Three in Iraq and three in Afghanistan.

Isn't it time for him to start requesting some deployments in say, Germany, Japan, Hawaii?

He can request all he wants but he serves at the discretion of the US Army.  He's been training, attending schools, getting ready for deployments, deploying, recovering from deployments - you get the picture.
