Good morning Daves, back to work after a day in the Children's Hospital in Morristown for a planned test
Morning Scott, Dean. Hope the test results were favorable.
No results for 10 days, my son is very small for his age, always at the bottom or below the growth curve for his age. After a couple trips to the endocrinologist and a nutritionist we are now making sure there's nothing blocking his production of growth hormone. They stimulated that yesterday and took blood every 30 minutes for 4 hours. No other health issues and he's a good athlete so as long as it's normal for him to be this size we won't pursue any other treatments (growth hormone).
Been there and lived through that but always good to make sure there are no other underlying conditions, GoodDadsfish. My mother never gave up trying to "fatten" me up. Finally caught up with me in my 30's.
I don't understand.
I was very thin as a young child. they used to joke, that I would eat one piece of pasta,
and throw up two. The best was when I was young, (about 3) they would impress the in-laws by pointing to
something yellow and asking:
"che colore è questo?" to which I would proudly answer,
"giallo!", find some else yellow, and point to it, ask the question, my reply;
"giallo!".
then they would pick something red or blue and ask the question, and again, my reply:
"giallo!".
I was traine4d to answer that question with that one answer, i was not a bilingual prodigy. Although
I understood Italian well enough, because all my grandparents spoke it.
