Talk about trying to walk a fine line, sounds like AJ (and others) are testing the FDA limits. Whoever heard of declining comment on a new release that has been shipped? What is the FDA definition of "released"?
It would appear there is a follow-up to A.J. Fernández Cigars’ most popular release.
Free World is the new line, seemingly a follow-up to the company’s highly successful New World.
According to the company’s website, it will be released in four sizes: Robusto (5 1/2 x 50), Toro (6 1/2 x 50), Toro Grande (6 1/2 x 56) and Robusto Gordo (6 x 58).
Only one retailer has been verified as taking delivery of the cigars which were shipped prior to the August 8 deadline. The new @ajfcigars have landed @governorscigars! It seems several other new introductions were "introduced" the same way.
Like many companies, A.J. Fernández released a variety of new products to select retailers prior to Aug. 8. These cigars were shipped prior to that date as it is a deadline set by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
Any new cigar introduced after Aug. 8 would be subject to pre-market approval by FDA, meaning the company would not be able to sell that cigar until after it was granted approval by FDA.
The company has declined to comment on these releases at this time.
It is expected that A.J. Fernández will more formally launch these lines at a later date.
