Road-trip. That's the word. Bike is almost ready for a trek to Bend, Oregon for a rally.

So, I guess you got the windscreen all taken care of... What's the almost? You got the permission slip signed already, right?
Screen is on, sissy-bar rack is mounted. May not have time to get the new grips mounted. Luggage arrives today. I forged my mom's signature on the permission slip. Think anyone with notice she's deceased?

I was more thinking the Warden... You probably learned how to forge your Mom's long ago.  ;)

Is "luggage" the fringe laden saddle bags... and the leather grips with the tassels?

Morning, muchachos.

Howdy, Bret. What's the word on the left coast this morning?
Quinoa

Haha... loved that commercial with the Qwee-no burgers at the tailgate. "This is for 1st place!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TobvW77tuwQ
Lol, that commercial is the summary of my knowledge of quinoa.
Quinoa is actually pretty good, just not as a meat substitute. But then, I like kale and I hang out here with you fookers, so obviously I have no taste.

No and no. And no screaming eagle medallions with live-to-ride mottos either. And no conchos.

The luggage is a Saddlemen TS3200DE. Looks like this:

good morning guys. it's a sun day for me, and getting stuff together for vacation the next two weeks unless Home Depot notifies me about my online order.
Cusano 18 robusto and coffee here.

Morning, Deano. Whatcha gittin' from Home Depot... pallet of pavers?
did an online order for screening in a porch for the lady. building codes requires a permit so I ordered the materials when the application was submitted. just 2 screened walls. 8'x10' and 8'x12' with screen door. lumber, sill seal, paint, screen, door, trim, caulk, Tapcons, screws. in Florida you have to use 'approved' connection anchors and finding the 'approved' list for Tapcons and coated screws was a bitch. they needs construction details, itemized material list, etc. took longer to do the permit (3 days) than it will take to put the walls up (1 day).

I'd buy her a bike in a heartbeat if she was remotely interested in riding her own.

Coupla years I'll get a Road King and turn this one into a hot-rod.

My own tastes run closer to the rat-bike or bobber ethic than the heavy custom and goo-gaws. But, yeah. I try to keep things simple. Motorcycles are meant to be ridden. That means they get dirty and they get dinged and scratched.  Anyone who spends more time futzing with the bike than riding is a poseur, and I've come perilously close with all the futzing I've been doing. Time to ride.
