Speaking of firearms, again - Looks like I've found the rifle. Winchester Model 70 Classic Featherweight 270 WSM. Connecticut-manufactured, new old stock in box.

Here's a story TexDave should love!

California state Sen. Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) — one of the state’s strongest advocates for gun control — was arrested Wednesday on charges that include scheming to defraud citizens of honest services and conspiracy to illegally traffic firearms.

Old story. He was sentenced in February to five years.
Oldies but goodies.
Stories about the hypocrites getting what they deserve are timeless!
Indeed.

What's a new old stock?

Not too old that cartridge was not developed until 2002.

Good caliber for hunting in North America excluding large Bears or Moose.

I am not a big Model 70 fan because I am not a Mauser action fan but I am in the minority, here is a review by one of the more reputable gun reviewers.

My colleague tried to schedule a meeting today at noon and an email fight ensued. NO MORE! Call me inflexible, I don't give a rat's ass anymore.

Meeting was originally scheduled for 10 but his other meeting ran over. Why is my meeting less important?

OK, rant over.
You tell 'em Tony the Tiger!
Are you rescheduling on me?  You be messin' with Antnee "Sack o' Doughnuts" Scarpa.
YEAH!

Yeah, I should have said Pre-2006, when Winchesters were still completely made in Connecticut.

If Dean does not show up in the morning I am calling the DAWG Catcher and have him locked up.

Did he ever check in after his NY trip?

He checked in when he got home Monday afternoon and we have not heard from him since.

That just means that he hit the sheets and he's not done yet. That happens at his age.

Sounds good, I had salmon and wheat crackers with cantaloupe for desert.

That may be the problem already.  They may have him locked up until he makes up for the AWOL weekend.
