Some times they are but not always.  Lucky this time they seem to be working.

No idea who invented this one as it is a knockoff but seems to be helping.  The friendly folks that invented codeine offer an effective pain killer for them.

If I'm not mistaken I think the Merck drug is a vaccine?

Actually it's a Chicken Pox vaccine.  As it is the same Varicella Zoster virus, getting a booster of the vaccine helps reduce the occurrence of Shingles considerably.  Once you get an episode of Shingles, the vaccine is no good for that.  The reason you get Shingles even after you've had Chicken Pox is that it's a Herpes virus, and we all know Herpes is forever!

That could well be the case, there are two vaccines made for them.   Unfortunately if you have already had them the vaccines are hit or miss on effectiveness and I had them once before almost 40 years ago before the vaccine was ever imagined.

But, if you are over 50 and have had the chicken pox  I Highly Recommend considering the Vaccine, it is a one time shot good for life.

Let it be known there are a lot of variants of the herpes virus and the Shingles and Chicken Pox are not the Pecker Version!

good morning Dave, Dave, Dave, and Scott.
moving day for the lady. I get to hook up the washer and dryer, not moving a thing.
Short Story and coffee at her new house.
Morning, Dean. Make sure you have the lady assist you with checking the stablization of the dryer when you're done. ;)
will have to wait until another time. got a dinner date with the redhead tonight.
