The wife is in a good mood this morning.  I must say, "she has really been nice ever since I got her a new car."  She's only said one cross thing in the past 3 1/2 months, and she tried to take it back as soon as she said it...

just friends that spend a lot of time together. no expectations or demands on the other person.

The less I say to her the better it works.  I call it, "yes, no, and ok."  I've only had a couple of difficult supervisors to work for, but when I got one I would switch into my yes, no, and ok routine.  The less I said to them, the better.  At work, it worked very well.
