Three boys around the ages of 7th, 8th, and 9th grade, knocked at my front door Monday night around 5:30 p.m.  Around here it gets totally dark around that time.  Each had a rake and they asked me they could rake my leaves.  It was so dark, you couldn't see my front yard, much less the leaves.  I told them it was a little too dark to rake leaves, and I could see they didn't have any leaf bags.  So I asked, "after you rake the leaves, what are you going to do with them...?"  You can't burn them..!  I hate to turn down kids that are willing to work, but I'd hate to think I was hiring the 3 stooges too.  So far I've had kids what wanted to rake the yard, but didn't have any rakes (they were going to pick them up by hand.)  Wanted to shovel snow from my driveway, but didn't have a shovel.  Mow my grass and didn't have a lawn mower. Oh well, maybe they'll figure it out as they get older.

OK, for a couple of weeks, i have been meaning to look this up, since it/they were
appearing in Madison Square Garden.  The String Cheese Incident, turn out they are a band.
At the rapidly approaching ripe old age of 60, I was unaware of these guys. they have a you tube video,
that I am currently listening to: https://www.youtube.com/user/SCIOfficial sort of an easy listening cross of
Yes and the Moody Blues....  that's from one song I heard, if you listen to Babe from Styx, you wouldn't get the heavy metal vibe.

well they had rakes, but no daylight.  It's getting better.  If some 21 year old babes, show up and want to work as "fluffers", you send them up my way... 8)

Years ago in front of Dooley's Hamburgers in Downtown St. Louis, two college girls with low cut blouses and a cheap shoe shine kit was making a fortune shining shoes.  I saw them as I was leaving Dooley's and had to get back to work.  If they had been there before I went in, I would have had a nice shiny pair of shoes... :)

Yesterday, my wife finally had to put some gas in her new car.  Eight more days and she would have made it 2 months on a tank of gas.  She had 4 gal. left, so she probably could have made it.

Sounds like she didn't need a new one that bad.

She only drives it in Reverse, so she can watch that new TV channel "Backup Camera"!  8)
Wasn't gas mileage one of your purchase considerations?

Fuk'n work take this job and shove it!
I am picking up a slight feeling of what might be
considered discontent.  I have been accused before of having an
"astute grasp of the obvious".  ::)
Accurate observation Flip.

Perhaps this will shed some light on my day.  This conference they registered me for is sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies which should be a sting hint of the political leanings.

The registration said it started at 1:00 today so I bust my ass to get here and find out it starts at 2:30.

I need some fuk'n heart medicine today, my BP must be about 500/425

"they registered me for"?  Sounds like someone is getting some payback.  Tell them your neck bolts are acting up and you have to leave.
