Had a leaky pipe underneath the kitchen sink. Thought it would be a quick fix, apparently, I already have a hole in my downstairs bathroom wall trying to fix the problem. And it's a friend of mine doing it, so I know he's not trying to screw me. Yeesh.

@ CG   I bet the western ND scene is changing big time now.

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Houston-based oil field services company Halliburton has laid off some of its workers in the western North Dakota oil patch hub of Williston, though the company isn’t providing details.

Halliburton in April suspended operations at its facility in Minot and transferred many of the jobs there to locations in Williston and Dickinson, citing “changing business needs from its customers.” The company two months earlier had said it planned to cut up to 6,400 jobs worldwide in response to falling oil prices.

Friends just use lube so it hurts less. :(    Also, there is no such thing as a quick or easy fix when plumbing is involved.

Yeah it's not good - I hear it has thinned out a lot out west.

He's helped me a couple times, both times were pretty painless. This time though, the entire pipe apparently needs to be replaced, so he has to get at it from behind. TWHS
