Think I will drag out a Short Storyand light it
Short Story fired up.

It should just be right about done by now.  ;)
Definitely by now.  Hope you enjoyed it.

I'm heading out to a friend's for a barbecue so I'll see y'all later.  The plan is to tire out the wife and kids so that I can enjoy some peace, quiet and a cigar when we return.
Been done with cigar and just made a haul to Goodwill while I had the boy to help me load some heavy stuff.  Now time to go to Opies for some BBQ. Hope you enjoy your BBQ Tony
Antnee da Baron of BBQ NJ style.
BBQ + NJ = Not BBQ. Just sayin'
Just got home and BBQ + Tater-Tot Caserole + Butterbeans  +Opies in Spicewood, TX = Some Fuk'n good BBQ!  👍.   Time for a little nap now.
mushroom swiss burgers on the grill with corn on the cob in their husks with them, and salt potatoes.
No peppers and onions today?
with my hot Italian sausage tomorrow.
Holiday Special!
holiday not needed to enjoy.

Good morning Sly.
Morning (now afternoon), Chip.  Had to get ready and go to noon Mass. Now hoping to continue packing and moving, maybe later have a good smoke.
I worked until about 9pm last night, then after getting a text from a friend, joined him and others at our K of C to watch ND beat Texas (incredible). One of the brothers there is a huge LSU fan and alumnus (MBA).  He said the game was called because of a pending thunderstorm and was to be rescheduled ... Do you know when the game is going to be played?  I'll check back later ... have to do more packing.
For the record, I had a very nice FdlA toro while watching the game last night, sipping draft Sam Adams lager.
The LSU Game was cancelled not called after several hours of delay and will not be rescheduled.

Stone Thunderstruck IPA bomber going with an El Triunfador Original Lancero, weather is perfect in NJ this weekend
I looked at one of those El Triunfador's yesterday wondering if they were ready for smoking yet.  Give me a report on it
Dave, this one is exactly why I bought a box. Draw is great,a bit of resistance which I like and the flavors are awesome
Nice photo, Scott ... the company should give you free beer for life ... in exchange for using it to promote their product.

Thanks, TR ... never heard of such a thing ... 'preciate it ... BBQ&tater tot casserole sounds awfully good.
My parish is having annual Fall Festival in 2 weeks.  Friday night, Louisiana Shrimp boil (native LSU grad with many years experience is leading it), Zydeco band ... great time in past years, then the Padre, who is a master smoker, will have brisket, ribs and pulled pork with sides along with kids games, etc. on Saturday.
A team of men will be sipping bourbon, drinking beer (smoking cigars?) and tending the smoker over Friday night.

First cancelled LSU game since 1918.

That sounds like a great event you got planned.

Thanks for the article N8tive, that 'splains it ... player safety yes, but also fan safety.  Had a workmate who was a McNeese State grad ... goofy, funny and talented guy.  Prettiest gal at the job was gaga over him ... what a shame ... later on ... turns out he was gay.

Wish you and Chip would be there to:1. Have fun & smoke cigars, 2. Add authenticity 3. Give an experienced evaluation ... But as a NoVA native, we were having so much fun we didn't want the band to stop or the evening to end.

Afternoon, BD.  No offense, but I have to run, and get some things done. I'll check back to see if you post any interesting and amusing stories or observations.  See you BOTLs later, have a great rest of your Labor Day weekend.

I've been watching a boring Netflix Dvd movie, "Ex Machina," for the past 1 1/2 hours and just when the movie starts to get good, the dvd stops working... ugh..!

NATIONAL BOURBON
HERITAGE MONTH

By an act of Congress in 2007, September was declared National
Bourbon Heritage Month. Celebrate the historic spirit!!

Wouldn't ya know it... I like whiskey.

Quite the event.  Had me going there for a second with the master smoker.  Thought you were referring to cigar smoking till I got to the word brisket.
