looks like the V sample creeped up in price by a few dollars. I remember it being around $26 or $27 in recent history.
Don't have Dad here car shopping today so you are trying to make me dizzy!
That was one schitty story. Buddy of mine just got screwed over by the local Honda/Toyota dealer...lesson learned from his story is always buy a CPO 'used' vehicle in case of any immediate maintenance costs.
Most of us have been burned along the way in some way or another by one of the sleezy bastards. Lady here got burned by the largest Ford Dealer in TX charging $400 for nitrogen filled tires on a new car, usually free or no more than $5 per tire at the very most.
About 25 years ago I made a deal with a Toyota Dealer 70 miles away for a specific car and told them to prep it and I would be back before noon the next morning with a check to pick it up. I was there by 10:00 a.m. to pick it up and the sales manager tried to jack the price about $500, said that deal was only good for yesterday not today. Short story, the salesman and the sales manager locked themselves in the sales managers office and called the cops. Was in a small town and cop said seems like I should have whipped their ass and left.
