Morning, Fellas. Hump, hump and away
Good mornin Steve

Good day, Shaun. Looks like there was more info on your Geno Smith story last night... apparently he 'owed' the guy $600 for a plane ticket to attend his football camp in Texas... which he didn't go to because of the passing of a friend in FL. So, he decided to tell him he wasn't going to pay him by sticking his finger in his face with a few choice words. Six hundred bucks... how much do these guys make again? Yeah, don't remind me.
Sheesh!  That's like half a box of Gurks!

Uh oh, free shipping day at the Place.  El Centurions, come on down!

Saw that email myself. La Historias have been patiently waiting in the cart.  ;)

btw, AtlanticDave... went with the Dona Elena's this time around.

also some Ninfas for good measure.  ;)
Enjoy....but should have thrown in some Enclave's as well to round things out.

Didn't see any. Only the New Worlds... old news more like it. haha. They were okay. Nothing over the top or anything for me. Probably pick up an Enclave at the B&M. Your claim rivaling the Cuarenta had me more interested to try than anything else.
Listed under E for Enclave by AJF.  They don't list price for non-VIP, you have to call for pricing.  (But generally speaking they are about $6/per)

So long, Columbia House. You won't be missed.

That was a standard of a generation....even though they ripped you off.
I think I still have some free CD coupons to turn in...
Too late. They haven't sold CD's for years.

In many ways, Columbia House was the precursor to the modern Internet. The deal worked slightly in the customer's favor, as long as the customer was diligent about sending in those monthly rejection cards - which, of course, many weren't, especially if they were kids.

But Columbia House wasn't about selling CD's, it was about building a huge, young customer base. CH made its money selling access to its customers to its business affiliates.

Sounds an awful lot like the present, doesn't it?
Current best scheme is the 0 down and 0% interest on big ticket items for two years or whatever....but if you happen to go one week over....you get to pay all back and future interest at an exorbitant rate.
Yep, but I've made a ton of hay on that one. Just requires a modicum of self discipline and attentiveness, and understanding of future value of money.

Is this still good?

Maybe to jimmy a window... if you lock yourself out of the house.

I'd say those furniture/appliance rent-to-own places have a nice niche in this scheme as well. Who cares if you're paying 3-4x the MSRP... you're only paying $14 a month NOW!
Exactly!

Dropped my NRA membership for this exact reason.  At one point I received an unsolicated "gun training CD" in the mail from an affiliated vendor, first of a series of 4 or 5 discs. If I kept it they were going to bill me for the set.  I had to return it to kill the deal.  F'k that bullschitt, I'm done.
I thought that was against Federal law now, as a result of Columbia House, matter of fact.  Should have reported it to the FTC.

StogieGuys rated the Tat Havana VI Verocu #1 at 5 stogies.  Looks like I need to pick some up.
Anyone sampled them yet?

Good mornin gents
Morning Shaun, Tony
Good mornin Scott!
Starting to gear-up for our OBX trip, leave on August 22
Got your cigars and BIL's packed already (separately of course)
Right? Their stock is very low and when I offer a deal to buy they decline so I guess they're planning on smoking mine

Sounds like a good time to clear the humi of all the sticks that you have lost interest.
Or clear my Rolodex of all cigar moochers!

And no credit check!

There, of course, is the key to their niche. Find  that vast group of people on the wrong side of the credit rating bell curve and mine them for all you're worth.

Which of course is how politicians work, too.

been having a trying time with the bikerlady. she knows NOTHING about sitting still or relaxing. the campground is nice, the beach is great. Padron #3 and coffee going. I gave her a bunch of money and sent her into town for clothing she forgot to pack, told her to have fun, save the needed supplies for last.

No but very interested. I almost threw a single or 2 in my CAYP order but they were out of the CG size
