Morning, Fellas. Hump, hump and away
Good mornin Steve

Good day, Shaun. Looks like there was more info on your Geno Smith story last night... apparently he 'owed' the guy $600 for a plane ticket to attend his football camp in Texas... which he didn't go to because of the passing of a friend in FL. So, he decided to tell him he wasn't going to pay him by sticking his finger in his face with a few choice words. Six hundred bucks... how much do these guys make again? Yeah, don't remind me.
Well, as of right now, Enemkpali is making $0, so he does need that $600.

Indeed, bastiges.  Predictable exit.  At least one poor sucker fought back, though:
Despite its popularity and seemingly irresistible deals, Columbia House eventually became reviled for the terms concealed in its fine print: Though members could nab a stack of albums for 1 cent, they had to buy additional albums over time -- at a high markup and with exorbitant shipping rates -- to fulfill the membership agreement......Though scores of members were burned by Columbia House's fine print in the '90s, one New Jersey man bilked the company out of 26,554 CDs over a five-year span by setting up 2,417 customer accounts at 16 different post office boxes.
I have mixed feelings on it though.  Sure they fucked me out of tons of money (and BMG too), but it still makes me feel nostalgic.

Hmmm, wonder if this business model would work for cigar sales?
If they can do it with a razor blade a week club, I'm sure it would work for cigars too.

Too late. They haven't sold CD's for years.

In many ways, Columbia House was the precursor to the modern Internet. The deal worked slightly in the customer's favor, as long as the customer was diligent about sending in those monthly rejection cards - which, of course, many weren't, especially if they were kids.

But Columbia House wasn't about selling CD's, it was about building a huge, young customer base. CH made its money selling access to its customers to its business affiliates.

Sounds an awful lot like the present, doesn't it?

Remember....we don't have to use code words here.....unless you really want to.....
It's part of the exclusivity of our little club. You don't really belong unless you know the codes.
But we still don't know the important codes......as in shipping .....unless Ogie comes down from the mountain to enlighten us...

Yes, but we know that it is Ogie who bestows the codes, which numbers us among the enlightened. Yea, verily. Amen.

Current best scheme is the 0 down and 0% interest on big ticket items for two years or whatever....but if you happen to go one week over....you get to pay all back and future interest at an exorbitant rate.

Didn't see any. Only the New Worlds... old news more like it. haha. They were okay. Nothing over the top or anything for me. Probably pick up an Enclave at the B&M. Your claim rivaling the Cuarenta had me more interested to try than anything else.

Dropped my NRA membership for this exact reason.  At one point I received an unsolicated "gun training CD" in the mail from an affiliated vendor, first of a series of 4 or 5 discs. If I kept it they were going to bill me for the set.  I had to return it to kill the deal.  F'k that bullschitt, I'm done.

I'd say those furniture/appliance rent-to-own places have a nice niche in this scheme as well. Who cares if you're paying 3-4x the MSRP... you're only paying $14 a month NOW!
