The backhoe operator definitely comes from a different stock than Tex's IT staff.

at the last Inglis/Yankeetown village meeting the citizens were asked why nobody showed up for the free yoga classes during the last month. one person said that if the free food giveaway was offering yoga he wasn't going to show up, he won't eat that heathy rich people food.

You can only sell something designed in 1911 for so long!

Gun maker Colt files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
No, this is just what happens when private equity firms buy a company, saddle it with debt, and suck out whatever cash they can.  Even this is just a tactical move to buy a little time to suck out more cash. When there's no way left to extract anything worthwhile from it, they'll sell the name to a Chinese firm who will make cheap weapons and import them to the US, where they'll be sold for inflated prices.  The wreckage of the actual company will be quietly disposed of.

Could you do me a favor and kill my week, too?  I don't think anything productive is going to happen.

Good, wash any residual oil away.
Although there may be a bit of a sheen on the puddle in your pit.

Nothing wrong with sweepings if they taste good and are properly identified.
