I've never been too impressed with the Nat Shermans either.  I think I smoked something called the "Timeless" recently and it was meh, at best.

my other experiences with a few different Nat's was like yours kinda meh.  This one is a do over though.  An interesting smoke more like a Rothschild than a Robusto.  So many cigars so little time (and money and humi space and...).

if you like a one dimensional cigar that tastes of tobacco then the Nat's work.

Surprisingly this one is a fairly complex smoke with more than tobacco flavor.
