Son, sit down, we need to talk. It's about your mother (CigarBanter.com) and me. First of all, you should know that we both love you so much and this has nothing to do with you. You've done nothing wrong. In fact, this has been a long time coming. Your mother and I have decided to separate.

All kidding aside, I haven't made a final decision on this, but I'm thinking this site is going to go the way of the dodo in the next few months. I had big aspirations for it, but in 12 years I didn't make it a priority. If my wife knew what it was costing me, she would have told me to shut it down 10 years ago. I was joking with LTG earlier that we chould probably just have a group text chat going since attendance here is so low. I'm sure the lurkers and the bots will be most upset. All this to further procrastinate from opening a ticket with GoDaddy about the 503 errors. Sheesh.
Unfortunately understandable.

We had our annual culture and engagement survey come out this week, and since new management is turning our department to shit, I had a lot to say. So much, in fact, that I ran out of space. So I typed up my entire response and asked Chat GPT to shorten it. Let me tell you, it did such a good job of summarizing what I had to say that I'm no longer as worried about a robot uprising as I once was. :D

Currently at the docs with my son. I think strep is a very strong possibility. We'll know more in 10 minutes.

Back to school time is no joke for germs. My middle kid didn't feel great last week, and passed it onto the youngest. Luckily, it passed both of them pretty quickly and doesn't seem to have spread further.

Speaking of surveys, I just ripped one of our vendors a new one. It took them over 5 months to remedy something I reported that shouldn't have taken more than a few days to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve. There's no friggin sense of urgency with these support organizations.

With Kennedy, Desantis and other vaccine nuts, just think what it's going to be like in schools a decade from now.
