A whole heap of samplers at the Page:

Bouty?
Cut them some slack, they also had inbetwixt and chuggery, so maybe they were too focused on spelling there. :D

Quite the bizarre play in the Clemson-Coots baseball game yesterday.

USC batter appeared to hit into a double play.  Second base was tagged but throw was bad to first.  Original runner from first base laid on the ground near second with runner coming in from first base.  Throw to second was bobbled by SS trying to avoid the original runner lying on the ground.  Meanwhile runner originally on second went to third and then scored while all this was going on.  A lot to picture in your head,, but what would you call?   At the start of the play, score was 4-1 Clemson.

OK, so after LENGTHY review, both coaches in full jabber, it was decided that the second runner was out at second due to runner interference (first runner).  Run did count as it was not a force out and he touched home before the kerfluffle.  Those two outs ended the inning.  Clemson 4-2.  We went on to win 8-2 and sweep the series.  Sweet!

Never saw anything like that before and most likely neither has either coach or any of the umps.

Yes.  First runner out by tagged base, second by interference by the first runner.

He really didn't mean to be in the way.  It all happened so fast, he didn't know where to go...
