I'm just curious. Car insurance commercial on TV was just showing a sample rate of $45 per month. I'm paying around $250/mo per car. What's the average price for our banterers?

I pay $81 per month. But I don't have the oldest on there yet, since she has yet to get her license.

My oldest is the only one of my kids that has her license, but since she is currently living more than 150 miles away, supposedly doesn't impact my rate.

I was paying like $140 before I switched back in September. Made me feel pretty dumb for not having shopped around sooner.

My insurance company used to be difficult to get into. I equated exclusivity with "best rates". I've now been with them for over 30 years. About 10 years ago, they started letting just anyone in. Apparently, the rates aren't that competitive anymore, but I've been too lazy to look into replacing it.
