Morning, humpers. Late start here because I had to go out to get birthday donuts, which took longer than expected. The donut shop is in an area where many are still without power. I get over there and see their lights are on, so I think I avoided disaster. However, I pull in and see the "cash only" sign on the door. So I have to run to the bank, then when I get back, they only have about 1/3 of the donuts out that they normally do, and nothing else in reserve. So luckily I got there early, as I can't imagine they'll be open for very long today before they sell out.

I get over there and see their lights are on, so I think I avoided disaster. However, I pull in and see the "cash only" sign on the door. So I have to run to the bank, then when I get back, they only have about 1/3 of the donuts out that they normally do, and nothing else in reserve. So luckily I got there early, as I can't imagine they'll be open for very long today before they sell out.

I haven't gotten on the road yet and the traffic is already crazy (mostly because of rush hour, but also with all the flooding).

I'm glad you were able to get your doughnuts.

It's definitely the first one. I would never go out that early for donuts for myself. Lol

I like Dunkin....

Dunkin is like the McDonald's of donut places to me - good if they're the only thing around, but usually, much better places can be easily had.

Don't know what happened there....was saying that I used to have a neighbor here that owned a Duck Donuts franchise in Greenville.  Could just text them an have an order delivered.  Those donuts are what I classify as "dessert" donuts.  Almost too rich for breakfast.
