I got curious and looked it up and there seems to be some dispute about whether it's Cincinnati or Charlotte. Cincinnati is always the one I've heard with that nickname, probably a regional thing.

I got curious and looked it up and there seems to be some dispute about whether it's Cincinnati or Charlotte. Cincinnati is always the one I've heard with that nickname, probably a regional thing.

Charlotte has the older and more rational claim, being named for an actual Queen.  But Cincinnati was dubbed Queen of the West by Longfellow.  The problem is, Cincy isn't in the west anymore, and was rapidly losing that distinction by the time Longfellow gave it to them in 1854.  But...if it came down to fighting over it, Charlotte is a goodly bit too genteel. Give the odds to  Porkopolis.
