It would have been nice if they'd sent an email out warning us that there had been a fire in the building yesterday and all the elevators are out of service today.  I might have chosen to work from home again today.  Sheesh.  The good news is that I got my exercise for the month out of the way by the 6th.
what floor do you normally work on, and did you make it past the 6th floor?  ::)
good morning one and all.
3rd floor... But that's not the point!!!  Don't you fucking judge me!

That's what I was wondering....did he have the month's exercise by the the 6th of March, or the 6th floor?

well we do work in NYC, some of the buildings here have a few floors.  I work on the 6th, I will occasionally walk down, but probably would work from the lobby, if there was a problem with the elevators.

In the end, I bowed to the Wisdom of Tex.

.
Now I got to wait to hear the story because I am surprised, but those Commie Austrians make good guns. :)
Not much of a story. The deal was better on the Glock than the Springfield, the ergonomics of the Springfield were not sufficiently better than the Glock to sway me, they didn't have the Springfield package I wanted, and the ubiquity of Glock means cheaper and more plentiful aftermarket accessories. It was a bang for buck decision.

The simpler manual of arms for the Glock also appealed for the sake of the warden. It's a weapon she can just point and shoot. That means a greater chance she'll kill me outright, rather than wounding or disabling me.

Also, the Croats who manufacture the XD's are more commie than the Austrians.

Morning, mucha-I mean, young men.

For Mar 06:
In 1857 - The Supreme Court of the United States rules in the Dred Scott v. Sandford case. ~ So the Supreme Court held that African Americans, whether enslaved or free, could not be American citizens. Wow. Sadly, there are people that still believe this to be true.

In 1899 - Bayer registers "Aspirin" as a trademark. ~ The process was such a headache!
In 1981 - After 19 years of presenting the CBS Evening News, Walter Cronkite signs off for the last time.

n 1990 - Ed Yielding and Joseph T. Vida set the transcontinental speed record flying a SR-71 Blackbird from Los Angeles to Virginia in 64 minutes, averaging 2,124 mph. ~ Today, you can't get luggage from the plane to the baggage claim area in 64 minutes.

Good morning guys.
Good morning, Chip.  Betcha didn't think you'd already see a page of posts.  Although you probably thought there'd be a jam.  Sheesh.
You guys need to see if you can work at Natives company, it sounds like his guys have it pretty easy and I bet they don't work at night.
It is a nice computer gig but we have had a nationwide firing freeze for almost a year and probably last at least thru June or longer.  We got one that will retire in a couple of years but I doubt they will replace him.  For Tony OR Raz it would take either one of them about 30 minutes per day to replace both of those ass clowns and do 10 times more.  Very rare night work and you get comp time.
Bonus! More time to banter! Do we have to move to Texas? Always said I wouldn't, but I'm getting a little sick of the commies up here.

Question is whether Tony could handle living in Texas...

Just read in Nat. Geographic that Portland is the one city that voted against fluridating it's water, because people don't want chemicals in it....also one of the highest anti-vacc states.  Commies for sure.
