Yeah, she was pretty bummed, but a lot of kids tried out for only a few spaces, so the odds were not in her favor. Maybe next year.

My eldest was never very athletic. She played some soccer as a kid but did not get much play time. She tried out for soccer her freshman year oh high school and didn't make the team. She wound up playing lacrosse instead and seemed to enjoy it more. Then her freshman year in college she played rugby. ?!?? She got that out of her system too.

None of mine have ever been terribly athletic. The middle one did a couple of 5k's with me, but that was about it. So I was actually a little surprised when she said she wanted to try out, so good for her. Hope she does better next time.

On paper, I would agree. But it's not one of the top 10 adjectives I would use to describe her.
