Even the faction he is striving to defend doesn't like him.  http://news.yahoo.com/3-arrested-ny-florida-plot-join-islamic-state-175518821.html

Morning RAZ
Morning, Tex. A friend of mine tried to tempt me last night with some firearms he's selling. The Glock 29 and Sig 227 have my attention. The Springfield SOCOM would too, except I don't have the necessary $3K.

Nothing impressing me on the Mash.  I've had the regular Cifuentes, but not the maddies...these aren't really exciting me.

Wait a minute, what's this?  E-mail from CI...blizzard of savings...Nica Rusticas, mazo of 25, $99.99.

Hmmm...
Now that's something worth considering.
Yes it is, wonder if there is still a good FS code - But WTF would I put the damn things????
This one still works. Thanks again Ogie.

Yes, thanks.  There goes the rest of my CI gift card, and then some.

Well I'm heading out on my commute.  Was going to take a Cuarenta with me but decided to give the Monte White another chance.  See yuz in a couple of hours.
Should have gone with the Cuarenta.
Should have.  The White really doesn't do it for me.  I figured out today that it is the finish I don't like.  It tastes salty and ashy to me.  But if you puff too fast so as to cover up the finish, it cones and burns too hot and gets nasty.  Overall, the cigar is one dimensional and not necessarily a dimension that agrees with me.  With all that said, the retrohale is nice but not enough for me to ever seek out the cigar.  Especially given the price point.

Back from dropping the kids at the bus and going to Starbucks, can't say I like the mood in this place!
I like the coffee but hate the fuk'n places myself.  Patrons are a bit too metro for me, especially around here.  And lately the employees are a bit to metro for me too.
I know exactly what you mean, the place by me is pretty tame in that regard though. I like bold coffee, always get dark roast with a shot of espresso in it, aka "red eye"
I stop at that one all the time but it pisses me off that you can't get a dark roast after 4:PM.  A couple of times they were nice enough to offer me a pour-over.  Usually they say, "Sorry, GFY".

If just  the 3 of those are used and $3k then no reason to be too  tempted.   The G-29 is a bear to handle, lot of horsepower to ride with a little saddle, if you have never popped off a 10mm it is a big blast.  I got a G-20 and would not want anything smaller with a 10mm unless using light ammo but that pretty much defeats the entire purpose.  G29 also is a fat gun for small hands unless it is an SF version.  SOCOM is a cool piece but unless it is pretty tricked out only a $1500-1600 gun new in the box.    Also for real use there is lots better stuff, FN 308 being one of them at around $1200 new.  Some new AR platform 308's too but you do like the "old school" and socom definitely fills that void nicely.   P227 is very nice and comes in two versions tacops and regular.  Regular is a $850 gun new in the box tacops about a grand or a little less.  Downside they are only 10 rounds I think and why buy a modern 10 rd gun when nice options are available with way more.......  Again FN - FNX 45 will shoot circles around that P-27 at around $600 or $1050 for the tactical model but heavier and bigger.  There that is my 2 cents worth and nothing more, it is all about what feels good to you as none of them are bad guns whatsoever.

Well now that I know the pour-over is an option, I ask for it.  But prior to that knowledge nugget, they weren't offering anything up.  It's Pikes or nothing.  Sheesh.  Commies.

Tell them you want a pour over and they are supposed to do so with a smile, better coffee that way anyway.  Otherwise just dial up Starbucks corporate and tell them and bet you next time you go  in they will offer you a pour over.   Had an issue with a dipstick one in Kansas City and believe you me next time I went in there they actually remembered me and did things right.  My friends at the one in the Ozarks told me that trick.

If you want the best of the best dark roast coffee see if your Starbucks has a Clover Brewer and get an Italian or French Roast made with the Clover.  It is a $10,000 coffee making machine that is a fancy french press and makes probably the best cup of coffee in America IMHO.  Cost about a $1 extra and takes a few minutes but made fresh anytime of day.   They also have some dark roasts available that are only offered as Clover Brews.    Only find them at limited locations though, I think there are 3 or 4 of them in Austin.

Probably my single biggest starbucks issue is actually that crap they pawn off as "holiday blends" at thanksgiving and Christmas, it is garbage coffee as a general rule.  Damn commie operation by my office was still selling the crap in mid February.  And even worse is the fact they substitute it for the dark roast not the other choices.
