Speaking of Mark Twains. Are you gonna smoke one of those barber poles this evening?
Yes sir, that's still the plan.
In fact, after I drop the oldest off at a sleepover later, I've got to head to the grocery store and pick up some rum. My supply won't last me the weekend.
I definitely have earned myself a drink or five this week. I'm looking forward to that.
I'm with you there. Already thinking about what I'm going to pick up.
@LuvTooGolf: What did you wind up buying?
Didn't get anything today. Had to stop at Walmart to pick up a couple things, including steaks for dinner, and didn't want that stuff to sit in the car while I went to a different store. I still have enough rum for tonight, so I'll just go tomorrow.

I think I'll take advantage of the gorgeous weather and head outside for a drink and a smoke.
That's a solid plan.
I dug deep and found this Arturo Fuente Sun Grown Double Chateau which must be about 10 years old.
Haven't hit the sweet spot yet but it's absolutely delicious.

It even looks delicious.
I can't remember the last time I smoked one and am thinking, why the heck is that?

I got almost two inches of ash before it fell off.

I can't say enough great things about this cigar.

Sounds like you picked a real winner.

I need to make a more earnest attempt to smoke some of the older cigars in the humidor. I had forgotten what was in there.

I spent the evening filling holes under my fence. I had it out with my neighbor and his dog.

That Illinois game was pretty incredible. They trailed the entire time except for the last 25 seconds and pulled it out.

An inch or so in, and the burn is good and it has a nice draw. A lot fuller than I was expecting.

Is that good or bad?

Good. About halfway through and I'm really enjoying it. Burn got wonky for a bit, but I let it correct itself and now it's sharp.

I was tempted by that deal.
