Hello... I'm just lurking a little...!

Hey, Dad. Hear the Warden was a pain in the ass last week. Must be contagious... or one of them lunar menstrual things.
My wife is over the menstrual thing, but that put me through about 10 years of hell to get to that point ....  It's more of the nutty wife syndrome that causes our fights.  Some time I start to agree with Sean Connery when he said, "some times a woman deserves a good rap...!"

Hello... I'm just lurking a little...!
Well good afternoon lurking.
I'm working on dinner, so it's back and forth from computer to cooking.
Obviously spending much more time than I would.
I bought one of those little pre-package pork roast for about $5.  I'm going to insert some garlic, sprinkle with Greek Seasoning (Cavender's), and baste it with a little World Harbors Teriyaki marinade.  Then just stick it into the toaster for about an hour.
You and that fuk'n toaster! ::)
I can't live without my toaster, beer, whiskey, gin, cigars, non stick Reynolds Wrap, paper towels, teriyaki marinade, and greek seasoning.  Now the wife falls under a different category.. :)

I didn't know you were Greek.

Is it a Convection oven?
Yes, it's a Krups.  I cook almost everything in it.  Roast, Chicken, Ribs, pies, cookies.  If something doesn't fit, I just cut it into, like a whole chicken split down the center and lay both sides down.  I created a note pad with all of the times I need to cook things, and just set it. I think my next one will be a little bigger thou.

I'm a fan of the non-stick Reynolds too but I've discovered parchment paper and love that even more.  I keep both on hand for different things.
Can you use parchment paper with a roast to keep it from sticking...?  But paper and an electric toaster oven might not be a good combination...?  But I do fry chicken wings in there with cooking oil and have only had one fire...

We have one as well and use it quite often. Although, more for re-heating and cooking frozen items. I tried cooking some chicken in it before, but all the grease splattering made a mess and smoked up the place so the fire detector went off... she told me it was the fire detector anyway.  :o

I can't live without the wife because she knows where the Reynolds Wrap, paper towels, marinades, and seasonings are.
Since I've retired, my wife seems to have forgotten all that stuff... But now I'm Mr. Grandma, I guess, while she works.

As long as the paper doesn't touch the heating elements, you'll be ok.  But to wrap a roast I would use the foil.

That Cavender's Greek Seasoning is a great all-around seasoning for just about anything.  Not hot at all for those that don't like hot (does not include me!)

And we've reached a new low...  Can't believe we're talking about foil.

Generally speaking it only takes one fire to fuck up your life.  +1 on the foil idea!
