Fred is not being very nice.
Radar looks like the rain is going to pick up intensity in the next hour or 2.
Got up a little early and got the boys out for their long walks in between rain bands.  Got them out a little bit ago before this one rolled in.

Interesting to see local schools and school boards defying Trumpiot legislation in Texas, SC, Tenn, Florida etc and requiring masks.  We'll see if the politicians follow through with their threats to withhold funding.

Today's Over/Under is 7.
Only 6 here.
Fifteen.  Lots of musicians and several tennis players in this one.
Figured that, but the average Joe wouldn't know anyone other than potentially the lead, so you get the benefit of the over/under on these days.
I'm pretty average, but...yeah, being born in 1965 to an ex-folk musician, and growing up a music geek affords certain exposures to which most people wouldn't attend.

I mean, even if one is Gen-X or late Boomer, and happened to have run with a crowd in high school that was into British Art-Pop snobbery, and came across XTC, who remembers the bass player unless they are one?  Dexy's Midnight Runners made a bigger splash on the radio, but again, in 1982?  My Junior year in high school? In the US?  John Cougar Mellencamp, Joan Jett, Foreigner, and J Geils owned the airwaves, and the only British pop that got through was A Flock of Seagulls (gag).

And if you had the misfortune of going to high school in a rural town of about 5000 people, digging any British group that wasn't fronted by Bruce Dickinson or Mick Jagger was a risky proposition.

So I don't think I'm really above or below the average.  More like...marginalized, maybe?  ;-)

I hear ya. I knew what the guy from Dexy's looked like but didn't know his name. Of course I know XTC, but as you mentioned, not the bassist. So there we have it.

Still, you're doing real good just knowing these bands.  You're above average.  Or marginalized.  Whatever.  ;-)

Our district is starting with everyone masked, regardless of vax status. Luckily, our governor is only half an idiot, so he's kept quiet about masks in school.
