Just to bring the holster saga that TexDave and I started full circle...I got the Desantis Mad Max and am trying it out in tuckable mode today. I was actually surprised by the build quality. I expected it to be of thin leather like the Desantis holster I've been using for the past two years, but the Max is well constructed with leather of similar weight to the Front-Line. The only disappointment I have with the Max is the finish. Clearly they just had some clown with a spray gun spraying assembled holsters. The finish is fine, except when you try to adjust the loops or remove them to install the J-hooks. You can see the bare spots in the picture below. So the Front-Line wins for finish. The Max wins by a nose for ease of tuckability - slightly easier to get the shirt tucked and adjusted around it with the j-hooks than with the Front-Line's flaps. Otherwise, it's pretty much a draw. I'm slightly happier with the Desantis than I was with the Front-Line, but both are very good holsters. But I'm definitely going to order the real thing - a Sparks Versa Max 2.
